Console JAMMAizer! Easily connect home consoles to your JAMMA arcade cabinet.

Anybody had their buttons stop working and solved the problem?

I’ve been running Project Justice on the Dreamcast using two Brook retro boards. Today the punch and kick buttons stopped working but the joystick and start buttons still function.

I checked all the inputs on a CPS 2 board and used a regular DC controller to make sure it wasn’t the ports. Any advice?

Have you tried redoing your button map on the JAMMAizer? It's possible for the EEPROM storage inside of the microcontroller to become corrupted if there was a power supply brown out or some other power related issue. If the EEPROM was corrupted then the buttonmap you had stored would be lost and you'd need to program it again.

Following your remapping guide on your website fixed it. Thank you.

Does a new batch will arrive soon? Interesting about how use select buttons for player 1 and player 2 ? i don't have it on my blast city so how to use one? combo buttons or physically need to place two of them on panel and wire to Jammaizer ? even buttons 7 and 8 possible ?

I wanted to say that I use the Jammaizer more than most PCB I own. I cant believe this "reverse Supergun" is not selling to the masses.

I highly recommend people line up for this one. That being said. Is there a pre order for another one or will inventory go live to stock?

You use it with what?
I have had one for probably 3 years and it never left the shipping box.
Like i dont know what to do with it cause i think it’s just for consoles.

...that's what it's designed and used for. This is literally the first sentence from the site you most likely bought it from:

"The Console JAMMAizer is a device that is designed to convert home video game console controls, video output, and audio output into a format compatible with arcade cabinets that follow the JAMMA wiring standard."

If you've kept it boxed this long, and unsure of its function, you could move it onto someone in this thread who's looking for one. Just sayin'

I was using it for my Mister before the Mister to Jamma solutions came out. Originally it was for genesis so I could play Contra 4 on a candy lol but I find myself hooking all kinds of weird stuff to it. If you sell it. LMK or post for someone else to enjoy.

Here's a wild one. Turn Chrono Trigger to Active 9 and make your selections in lightning speed using an arcade CP. It's more fun than you think

I used to use the JAMMAizer but I could never get any of the controls to work with any consoles or PC on my candies, always ended up using console controller but I hated playing that way. So I gave up and stored away. As for pc i use the J-pac Never looked back, jpac is truly a life saver.

Maybe one day ill try again to see if I can play saturn on my blast with actual cab joysticks.

What controller board were you using? I found the MC Cthulhu covered most things, but also used the Akishop PS360+ sometimes.

I did note some weird compatibility issues between the two controller boards I used. So switched between them. Mainly issues with PlayStation and multiple players. The older consoles generally worked a treat.

Worth trying some other controller boards if you have ability to. I didn’t use a Brooks but they seem to have a good reputation as stable.

I did have some badly crimped cables. One that fried my SNES and another that did weird shit to my NES. So make sure your cables are ok. I ended up crimping my own because the ones I had made could not be trusted even though they were from one of the most reputable cable guys.

I love the device for what it does. And the creator said he isn’t making any more most likely due to tariffs. Give it another whirl and see how you go, it’s magic to plug an old console into a cab. If you do end up selling it, I’d be interested in another.

It's one of the nicest features. He ported the HAS custom button configuration driver into the Jammaizer. You should be able to get the Buttons to register through UFB board. It defaults to PC mode but I would check out the Brooks guide to make sure you're getting a register
