I intend to convert a Model 2 PCB into Indy 500

Can anyone confirm for me the type of 40-pin EPROM that goes in the 42-pin sockets?

The MAME information says that the 512kb eproms are all 27c4002 or 27c4096.

but in my experience the 512kb eproms that go in 42-pin sockets are the 27c400.

But perhaps SEGA made it possible to use 27c4096 in 42-pin sockets through the jumper setup.

Could anyone confirm for me the model of the eproms?

More than likely it uses both kinds.

Roms in 7 and 8 are 27c400.

and Roms ins 29 and 30 are 27c400, so if it goes in a 42pin socket its mask rom pinout.

mostly I use 27C160 for substitution to 27c400 and 27c800 because theses two are hard to find and very expensive..
