So we bought Cruis'n World to refurb and rebuild and the original monitor in it went out. We replaced it with an LED monitor, but as neither myself or my friend are electricians, we weren't sure how to wire it into the arcade unit to get power from them. I bought a power unit from Amazon made by Retroarcade to try and get 12V and 5V power, but I wasn't sure what options I had to wire everything in. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

What LCD did you get? Did it come with a power adapter or do you just plug a mains power cord in to it?

The original CRT ran on AC, so it should be easy to wire up.

It came with a power adapter. It is a Samsung monitor iirc. I think it takes 14V though, I'm not sure. It does have a power adapter with a brick.

What I would do is I would take the original AC wiring for the monitor and replace the connector on it with a regular AC receptacle. Then plug the LCD monitor power adapter in to the receptacle.

That is brilliant. I never thought about that. I can do that. Should be easy enough.
