CPS1 C Boards - Multi Compatible

since all this "cold war" china/usa things, random packages are flagged and held. please use the tracking and make a call, thats what we have to do sometimes.
 
Yup, finally got mine too! Thank goodness. I feared months long holds (happened to me before when the pandemic first started).
 
i got two last week, one battery was 3.1v one was 2.8v -- good enough :)
 
aren't we supposed/ better of installing coin battery holder for quick and easy battery change?
edit: and yes, I know it last forever any way
 
Not on CPS1. CPS2 has the capacitor that allows you to change out the battery as long as it is still running, CPS1 loses keys as soon as you remove the battery

CPS1 also uses coin cells which are in general much less likely to leak
 
but if using it on cps1 multi do even need the battery? and if so is it a problem replacing it before using the c board?
 
No 100% firm details have been released about the multi, but I believe the multi writes the keys and you need a battery to save them once the game is written and the multi reboots to load the game? Maybe @Darksoft can answer better.
 
it it writes the key for each game selected
makes sence we can change battery prior the installation on the cps1 multi
 
My F3 multi and CPS2 multi need company, so order 2 as I know I won't be able to resist to get the CPS1 multi, if not only for Varth.
@drfunk2k, can you declare them as $10 each ?

Is there a good place to get a CPS1 A board that will work with the upcoming multi?

Plug, I have a nice working full CPS-1 12mhz stack In the sales forum, or just hunt for something that’s been tested and working.
