Yes, you can connect a 12V fan to that header using a JST NH connector.also, just to verify, is this the fan header?

no, it does not require you to use a q sound amp. q sound is stereo but stereo is not q sound. q sound is a proprietary form of stereo designed for cps1.5 games only (and later, cps2 games). the games that utilize the rca connectors on the multi pcb are for the cps1.5 games only, not the cps 1 games. cps1 games do not have q sound, they use dual mono from the jamma edge. cps 1.5 games run audio from the q sound chip to the rca connectors on the multi board. to get the real experience of q sound, u will need a q sound amp like in a capcom impress or big blue and will have to somehow bypass the amp inside the model 3 power supply of your blast. it is very similar but also different. regular stereo from the amp in your blast is good enough and will be present if you run a cps1.5 game such as caddys and dinos but not if you play a game such as 3 wonders. for a cps1 game you will need to connect your audio connector on your blasts harness into the jamma edge to get sound. i hope that clarifies. Here is the wires connected. on a other thread it was said q sound has to go to a q sound amp. im running it to a blast city amp. is this the issue?

you can try CAREFULLY reseating the q sound module and trying again. i dont have any advice beyond that but someone else will, im sure of it.Thats exactly what i thought. does this mean my darksoft has an error? as soon as i hook it up i get feedback, like in punisher. or is there a setting i need to adjust. i know how to hook it up on the cab side, i am using it on my cps2.
yes sound is perfect on jammaalso, do you get sound when you hook it up via jamma?
IT's a left over that provides 12V. Can be used for a 12V fan.also, just to verify, is this the fan header?
That is my feeling too. So just to make it clear. Do you hear sound in CPS1.5 Qsound games over Jamma? If you do, then your multi setup is working perfectly and the problem is on the cabinet side 100%. Maybe a stupid question but did you try adjusting the volume pot on the multi?Well, your QSound and Reset wiring look correct to me in your photos. Here are a few possibilities.
i am using the same arcade/ setup with cps2 with no issues.IT's a left over that provides 12V. Can be used for a 12V fan.

1) Your amp might not be set to stereo audio input. The mono JAMMA audio for CPS1 games is amplified while the stereo RCA port audio for CPS1.5 is line-level, so typically there is an input switch you change on the amp to swap between the two options.
If you have another device with stereo RCA cords (like a console) connect it to your amp and see if you get stereo audio output with it.
2) the ROM set on the SD card might be missing the necessary file to trigger the Multi to switch over to QSound. You are using a ROM set specific to the Darksoft CPS1 Multi, correct? I assume you are since it sounds like you’re switching between other games just fine, but I wanted to ask.
I did. but i will try again.IT's a left over that provides 12V. Can be used for a 12V fan.

OK, that helps. And the potentiometer? Did you adjust it?well i am dumb. I was testing on King of dragons, which isnt qsound. when testing on CD and punisher, no sound over jamma
Can someone send me a dump of their microSD created in a Mac(small one if possible and packed). I'm gonna have a look at this issue hopefully for good.
Yes, please. Send me PM please.Do you still need this? If so, I can put one together on my work Mac for you.

Yes - no all games I have tried work well - but as I said, on the one multi - the erase time is significantly longer (~36 seconds) vs 8 seconds on the other. That shouldn't happen. All games work well?
