Recently did the Sunon fan replacement. Was an easy drop in. Just had to take the plug off the old fan and attach it to the new one. Works great and doesn't sound like a tie fighter.

So I bought this but the connector has 3 holes where the original fan has 2. Advice appreciated@lobogau get the silent 6 fan it works very good and it comes with the connector already its just plug and play.

I switched to the metal case so different fan now, but i would just connect 2/3 see if the fan turns on if not use the other side and the middle pin again and turn it on again, thats what i did I remember. Just cut it and solder the old connector to the new fans 12v and ground wire. I think the third wire is used for temperature control fan speedSo I bought this but the connector has 3 holes where the original fan has 2. The link you posted for your controller no longer works. Do you have an updated Amazon or eBay link? I'm going to try Gelid Silent 6, but wouldn't mind it to be even quieter. Thanks! You can totally silence it with a fan speed controller.
try this post , maybe can be useful for your unit too.cheersThe link you posted for your controller no longer works. Do you have an updated Amazon or eBay link? I'm going to try Gelid Silent 6, but wouldn't mind it to be even quieter. Thanks! You can totally silence it with a fan speed controller.
Anyone knows the type of connector used for this? I also ordered the same Sunon fans but it came with the wire leads. NOW, Of course it would be trivial to simply splice the cables BUT there's a weird part of me that would like to keep things "clean"Sunon (i have Gelid with a fan controller installed - but now if i'll do again i will put sunon) is the most silent one ive seen so far !

For CPS2? Is it not JST PHR-2?Anyone knows the type of connector used for this? I also ordered the same Sunon fans but it came with the wire leads. NOW, Of course it would be trivial to simply splice the cables BUT there's a weird part of me that would like to keep things "clean"
edit:
From digging around, it would seem that it's a JST NH Connector?
Any info could be greatly appreciated!
How about crimping? The fan connects to the motherboard using a JST NH connector.Looking to install a fan that doesn't require splicing or soldering (original fan not available/not in my board)
CPS2 will be installed into a cab so I don't necessarily need silent, but anything quieter than the stock fan would be a plus.
They do . I have some model almost identical and they fit . Just use some tape if it’s a little looseLooking to install a fan that doesn't require splicing or soldering (original fan not available/not in my board)

I've gone through the thread and seen the suggestions for these:
Papst
Sunnon
Gelid
Would any 60mmx60mmx15mm fan work as long as it uses a 2 pin connector? I just don't want to put any additional stress/voltage discrepancies on the board.
I found a couple on amazon and was wondering if these would work? Any thoughts?
