CVS2 Naomi linked freezes

Capcom I/O or any of the jamma I/Os don't exhibit the issue.
did I get it right: it works ok with Sega Jamma I/Os like 838-13683 but have issues with Sega Type-1 (837-13551) ?

it looks quite weird, because these I/Os quite similar at hardware and software level...

What IOs are stock in the Net City and New Net City ? Please give the type specification on the board like: 837-13551
I have it identified here.

@VodkaGobalsky in that thread one person says 837-13551-92 works but another says it freezes...

Please supply a picture of the JVS test setup screen on cabinets which do not work as @MetalliC suggested.

This is the current IO I am running. I lent my other one out to Keiichi

Yeah, that's why I was wondering if it may be a heat or power issue causing this, not a software one.

With the TD-IO I was getting a slightly different freeze where the graphics would freeze and you lost controls, requiring a repower. This was caused by the thermal protection on the 3.3v regulator kicking in momentarily and was tough to track down. Heatsinking the regulator totally resolved iit.The interesting thing I did note from this issue was that CVS2 seemed to trigger this freeze really quickly compared to any other game I tried. A few min on CVS2 compared to 30-60min with other games.

It only happens with CVS2, no other Naomi game. It's not a power issue.
well, not many of Naomi games supports cab linking, so, perhaps it's really power issue but only CVS2 was tested?

it's also might be both hardware and software issue. example scenario - some of JVS data packets may be treansfered bad due to power issue, some games is OK with this and do another retry, but other games may just hang instead.

My IO froze even without linking to another machine. Second player was controlled via maple adapter from the filter board. And it would only freeze between games. Never during. It’s a software issue.
