What's new
Would be better to open the AES-clone housing to get a comprehensive picture of the PCB inside. Probably need to populate any/all NEO-BUF locations with the replacements.

Is there any issues with running more then one multmvs cart on a 4 slot or 6 slot? Other then putting a Official cart in the first or last slot (bios dictates).

Couldn't find any info on running more then one on the same pcb.
I am curious whether you or anyone else managed to test this out with the darksoft multi cart.
I ended up with a pre-order for 2 darksoft multi carts. I ordered one in the US as the EU units were sold out, however someone cancelled their EU order so now I have both an US and EU order pending.
I have a MVS 4 slot and only two worthwhile games for the system, so it would be great if I could run both Darksoft multi carts on the PCB at the same time. Aside from each cart having to load up the slots, would it function decently? According to the manual the MVS 4 slot has enough on-board memory for 8 games, so with 2 multi carts it would be the perfect fit.
I have been reading through horror stories to never slot 2 or more "161-in-1" bootleg carts into your MVS, in a similar matter as never crossing the streams of your proton pack.

If the PCB cannot handle two multi carts at the same time I will just forward the unit to one of the gents on the waiting list.
Thanks in advance lads.

I have an issue with a Darksoft MVS Multi Unit. It has graphical issues shown in the picture. I have tried the following:

1.) Verified proper voltage levels
2.) Tried a different MVS Motherboard (MV1FZ)
3.) Tried a different known working SD Card from a different Darksoft MVS Multi
4.) Tried different arcade cabinets

At this point it's looking like an issue with the multi itself. Any help or suggestions on how to continue to diagnose or resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Have you tried flashing the latest firmware and menu? Make sure it's the MVS cart firmware and not the AES.

I did update the firmware and menu and the symptoms remain the same. To add to symptoms, the games also have missing graphics and sprites. The jail bars you see in the menu disappear when a game loads but the game has missing graphics and sprites.

@Anselmo
What MVS board(s) are you using? There's a known solvable issue with MV1FS. Dropping the voltage or cutting a pcb trace solves it.

Paging @Darksoft . I hope a part on his cart hasn’t gone bad.

I suspect it could be one or more bad level shifters, similar to how the cps2 multi can have level shifter failures?

When did you buy this? Did you try it before and was working well? When did it start showing those glitches? PM me and I'll see what I can do.

I recently got a second hand Multi MVS and I'm getting this error when using on a MV1F motherboard using Unibios 4.0:

Every 5 to 10 attempts to boot, I get the "No game found on memory card" monkey error. Rebooting usually fixes it.

I'm aware of the issues with this particular board. I've dropped the voltage to 4.7V. It seemed to help a bit, but still got the issue. I opened the cart and the trace to fix the issues with MV1F was already cut. I checked continuity and there was none. I've replaced the CR 2032 battery by a new one, as the old was pretty much dead, it seemed to fix other issues I was experiencing (constant loses of configuration, graphic glitches on the menu time to time...) but the monkey error keeps happening. I've also tried clearing backup ram from both the Multi menu, and the MVS bios.

When using a MV1F board (factory bios) I never get this error.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Getting a "mvs file system not ready error" in my 4 slot. Then the screen goes all scarmbled and sounds like an old tv with no signal. Tried my single slot aswell. Any ideas?
Im using a 16gb SDHC fat32.

All slots work fine with carts I have.

Thanks

Now you just need to copy the games into the \games folder.
I have done this and it allows me to dump on the save location 1 2 3. Once saved and ai select run it jumps onto my 2nd slot game and wont then cycle back to the mvs multi.
