Darksoft Neo Multi Help thread

Do you have another Motherboard to test, preferably one with 1 slot only?

I will buy one, is there a prefered model who is working best with the multi ?

If you're after a 1-slot, I highly recommend the MV-1FZ.
Agree on that. MV-1FZS works very well too. The problem is that these PCBs are getting old and caps start failing, traces and solder too, so the shorter the PCB, the better for the traces and power loss. Checking the caps is a good idea.

Hello, I finally find a MV1FZ board in very good condition. Battery is OK.
Looking at the glue on the caps, they might be originals ones.

Voltage was check on the convenient testing pad : 5,11V.
I've played, everyday, one run until the end of the second level. So far, ten days of playing.
Last run, sound completely drop at leval 1 boss fight.
On some run, one channel on the music drop.
Overall it's better but not perfect.

What do you think ?
What could I doo ?

you need to measure on the cartridge slot not on the Jamma connector.

Where is the music drop happening? Same game?

I will measure on the cartridge connector edge later today.
The game used is Metal Slug 3 in slot 1.
How I processed, I power on, press 1,put 1 credit, play until end of second level or beginning of the third. One play per day.

I've not upgraded the menu to the latest.

Upgrade the menu if you want, should be better and new tunes! So this only happened with MS3 or did it happen with other games? Please confirm.

Voltage at cartridge slot : 5,11V.
Puzzle bubble OK, Neo turf master OK, Blazing star OK.
So far, only Metal Slug 3.

Have you a game in mind, heavy sound oriented ?

Today, I've try two games at MS3, on all game, half of the music drop a second level.

some of the Metal Slug games in some specific Mobos have that problem. Try another Metal Slug games and some regular ones to confirm that this is the case. I will try to release a new FW before the end of the year.
