Great project.

I've had my KI2 board in one of these for 6 months, and just noticed the middle of the board is sagging. Without center support, it probably needs to be stored on its side. (I also realized I have the fan pointing the wrong way.)

All PCBs apart from those with centre supports like MVS 4/6 slot boards need to be stored on their side or they will end up sagging

Especially large boards like KI, Midway Wolf Unit etc where almost all the components are SMD since the sag will cause components to lift
 
I wonder if you could 3D print or get an acrylic centre support, maybe a 4-5cm round cylinder that could be glued in the centre of the bottom plexi?

There's an idea. I have standoffs. Just need to find a spot where it can go without damaging any components.
 
That’s why I was thinking a 3D printed or acrylic one would be better - no concerns of shorting out components as you would have with a metal standoff

If there are chip legs in the area they will just sit on the plastic and you might get a slight lift which is going to be imperceptible spread across the board
 
New member here, I just wondered if anyone state side found a online company to cut these , I found one place but it was like $180 for one which seemed like a lot of money?
 
This is what mine shows.... the acrylic line is different - yours says modified, and mine I think is thicker? It's also possible that in the last 4 years prices have gone up... :/

Thank you , does anyone know if the OP is still here, I sent him a message , I found an online company that will do 2 for around the same price as above but I dont know how to edit the files, I don't need two sunset riders cases but if I can edit the sunset riders part out of the file I can use it for I think Turtles as well. Anyone?
