I’m having problems with my monitor on my Golden Tee. The flyback is arcing so I know I need to replace it. I bought a pcb to convert it to a lcd instead. But that’s going to be another post for what flyback I need in case I decide to fix it. My question is can I buy a newer chipset for my board to have a newer version of the game? If so, what version could I go to?

Take a picture of the monitor chassis so someone can identify it.
As for a newer chipset, the Mame driver holds answers to that:

So you could go up to Golden Tee Classic.

Looks like a Wells-Gardner K7000. There's a wealth of information available for that chassis, so you're in luck.
