Gunbird 2 Audio Improvement [WIP, help wanted]

I just got my gunbird 2 up and running (missing u1) and the sound is just like my strikers 2 , buzzing and doesn’t get very loud. Also , does gunbird 2 have intro music!? Like when the characters are showing up , going into the title screen? I turned on demo sound and I thought I was missing something until I heard it come on with gameplay

By "up and running" do you mean you changed the sound IC? And it's still noisy?
No music during the intro. I think music was added in the Dreamcast port, however.

No I got it as non working ; it was missing u1 and had pins floating on the customs.

The crappy sound is just comparable of kit the same on my strikers 2 board ; buzzing noise everywhere except for black screens

Hi, an extra improvement can be made to PS5V1 boards.
Changing the 4741 quad-amp for OPA1679, the quality is even better on many audio distortions in music FX.

Checked on my Gunbird 2 before and after changing it.

Yea OK, so the board works fine but it has a fainted buzzing sound that can be heard during silence. I guess I will have to apply some of the science from this thread...
Side question: High score board won't resist a power-cycle. Is that "normal" for this game?

If "resist a power-cycle" means that scores aren't saved, yes that's normal.
