A friend bought a Mariokart arcade GP for his arcade bar. He was not told it had a Triforce fzero boardset running a hacked version of MKGP netbooting through a NaoChiTri v1.5. It worked for a few months but now the machine boots with error 31 and doesn't attempt to load an ISO.

It passes all DIMM, media board and network tests.

When it was working the NaoChiTri would reload the previously selected game. On the NaoChiTri display it would say preparing, start the ISO transfer automatically on power up and show a progress bar until the game was loaded. Now if you pick the mariokart1 image that worked previously it displays "preparing triforce" for a moment then the NaoChiTri reboots.

Is there a clean SD card image I can use to make sure it didn't get corrupted?

No idea if this boardset has had its electrolytic caps replaced.

If anyone needs more info I will respond ASAP.

Excellent writeup - thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Not sure if my G540 chip programmer can handle this particular PIC but I'll find out next week. If not time for an upgrade.
