I am using the detapath X4 device to flip the screen, Corey looked into flipping the screen but it could only be done on a window based and not full screen.. my understanding is that the datapath x4 adds 16ms of lag.

Good info, thanks! 1 frame input lag doesn't seem like it's the end of the world, especially with low latency monitors.
 
The monitors that I am using are fast so it should be ok..I will report the end result soon..the fast I/O box is on the way; it has taken handful of people skills set, knowledge and time to get the game on a "console" form. It is well documented if anyone sees magic on this game and wants the same setup..the downside; it is not a cheap project.
 
Alamone on shmups & AO "consolized" DBAC a few years back. Looks like he took a similar approach to you and Lemony, but he used some other HW solutions to flip the 2nd screen and bypass the EDID check.

Just looked up the Datapath device, and... the price =O Think I'll stick with PS4, lol

do you happen to have a link at the SHMUPS on how they consolized it.. I would like to see what they used..does the PS4 version has 32:9 like the PC? I wonder if it does and if the PS4 version kicks into 32:9 if connected to one of those new curve 49" 32:9 monitor..but we still need a flat 49" 32:9 monitor..the curved ones will not work well, even the Dell version that the curver is not as pronounced which is on display at Microcenter now.
 
PS4 supports 16:9 and 32:9.

I don't have a link off-hand, but I think the posts are still out there somewhere... I tried to find them a while back, but was unsuccessful. From what I remember:
  • Dr. HDMI for the monitor EDID check
  • Lenkeng or Planar DVI/HDMI inverter (they both introduce about a frame of lag)
  • Wired up the I/O->controls and mounted it all into a wooden box
Alamone eventually dumped and decrypted the game, and successfully modified it to use JVS, removed EDID check and flipped the 2nd screen. I didn't notice any issues with full screen in the videos and images I saw.
 
The version Alamone has flips the second screen in software. If you know Japanese, you can probably find it with Google.
 
I don't mean to be a nuisance, but I've sent a couple PMs with no response. Are you taking orders right now? I'm interested in the Naomi filterboard power adapter.
