Help california speed bad DRAM ?

How do I create a compact flash for a California Speed?

In MAME there are many CHD files for this game.

The guides I found are for games with only 1 CHD file

I tried to convert some files with chdman to img and they were not recognized in winimage

In MAME there are many CHD files for this game.

They're different versions. Just use the latest one (2.1a (4/17/98 )).

You can go from chd to img to compact flash, OR you can just go straight from chd to compact flash.

Time to send it in for repair.This PCB is very complex and delicate, I have a feeling it will get worse if I replace memories at random.

I got the board schematic.

But if anyone has more information about the error codes, I would appreciate it if you shared it.

that sounds more like the CPU isn't running. check to see that your U95 sound rom is good, cause the CPU can't run without code. ie. if the label fell off the rom then that's definitely cause for concern with some bits getting flipped.

It's gotten better but it's still not good.

the sound works until you press start.

I have no idea who it is, D/RAM Bank 0, I have memories of a scrap PCB to replace if I find out who it is.
