Irem M92 Multi Game Dev Info

Fire Barrel is an M107 game isn't it? I didn't realise that the M92 multi could support that game.

You're correct. Normally, M92 can't run M107 games like Fire Barrel but Apocalypse worked some special magic...

If you look at the M92 Multi Game List, there are two surprises at the bottom:

0 = Blade Master/Cross Blades
1 = Dream Soccer '94
2 = Gunforce
3 = Gunforce 2/Geostorm
4 = Hook
5 = In The Hunt/Katei Daisensou
6 = Lethal Thunder/Thunder Blaster
7 = Major Title 2/The Irem Skins Game
8 = Mystic Riders/Gun Hohki
9 = Ninja Baseball Batman/Yakyuu Katutou League
A = Perfect Soldiers/Superior Soldiers
B = R-Type Leo
C = Undercover Cops
D = Undercover Cops Alpha Renewal
E = ****** ******/*** ******
F = ***** ** ********

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I guess this is as good a place as any.

Here are all the M92 Multi game logos for an OLED selector. It hasn't been officially announced that there will be a selector, but I figured I'd draw these up just in case sometime in the future someone smart can come along and build an OLED selector for the Multi.

Attached is a zip file of indexed .bmp's, ready to be converted to binaries when needed.

I'm looking forward to this multi!
They look so awesome! what a great idea. Would it be possible to get Geostorm instead of gun Force 2? Thats the proper name 😄

Anyone have a rom board issue where it will boot but it doesn't always make good contact w/pins?
Any way to resolve?

I have flipped and flopped eproms and mainboards. Problem stays with the rom board.
Trouble is, pins look great.
And when it works. It works.

Maybe I am overlooking something else?

Try using the magic Deoxit, even when they look clean, that stuff helps a ton to make it just work. That would be my first and easy step. Of course, if you have a microscope or a good pair of magnifiers, you can look for broken connections/cold solder to see if something is barely connecting or something.

This. I can't tell you how many PCBs I get that have weak/flakey JAMMA edge connection where the pins look perfectly clean, and then I'm able to remove loads of black gunk using DeoxIt and a fiberglas pen, with 0 JAMMA edge connection issues afterwards.

Good info!

The System 18 selector worked for some but not others… there’s been zero follow up on it, granted it’s free, so i don’t expect it.

Perhaps the selector @stt1 sells would be better? It’s a paid product but there’s support — https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...th-s16-and-c2-and-irem-m72.20565/#post-416024

I need some more information from M92 multi:

Voltages similar to S16 / M72? Selection logic similar? Will there be a header similar to those for connecting the selector?
