It looks like something more like Deal or No Deal, there's a stool mounted to itWow- kinda hard to tell, but that almost looks like a pop'n stage on right of the 2nd pic. Really cool stuff if that's right!

Yeah, definitely. After looking up an image of the cab, the panels dont match at all either. Still have some PTSD of passing one up a few years back so I'm probably still hallucinating from time to timeIt looks like something more like Deal or No Deal, there's a stool mounted to itWow- kinda hard to tell, but that almost looks like a pop'n stage on right of the 2nd pic. Still would be my first choice if I wanted a CRT, next would be and astro MS9. If I were to pick an LCD it would be a Noir HD but I own all of these so Im sure im bias. I however would not buy a blast or an atomiswave/egret ever again. Whats the major issue with the NNC just in case it happens I would like to be aware.New net chassis have their own sets of major issues too. Like nem stated, if you want to avoid chassis issues, get an LCD cab.new net city with a pf is the best crt around in my opinion. It would be my first choice.Even the semi curved toshiba TV sets have that bad corner convergence. In my experience 2930 has been more reliable than 2931, but 2931 has a sharper picture.I've had 18 (eighteen) MS2930/31/33 monitors, all of them on location for roughly 5000 hours. Only one ever developed a major issue. The cabs came straight from Japan, almost all of the tubes with substantial burn in. So it's not like they were new when I bought them.I'll cosign all of them having bad corner convergence, but poor reliability? Not so much. You gonna join the 2930/1 chassis nightmare with the rest of the blast city owners? I have owned 5 of these cabinets, and ALL of them needed chassis repairs or maintenance. When the monitor works with zero issues the cabinet is amazing, but once that monitor goes out...man what a giant PITA.
I did buy a "working" 2931 chassis from Yaton and blew a tube with it, but that's beside the point.
Major issue with the NNC’s is the price of the monitor if you ever need a replacement.Still would be my first choice if I wanted a CRT, next would be and astro MS9. Whats your favorite one? I just saw your updated collection, very nice.
I'm honestly the only one who will care. The cab I got is very special. It is the one that was at Kawasaki Warehouse before it closed. Only thing I could get out of there, had to pull some favors to make it happen. I don't think it would have gone to a good home otherwise...Hel....hello pop'n...I'm so sorry you have to subject yourself to thata small price to pay for completion lmao. Mickey tunes is a hell of a find though! I remember awhile back there was some he-said-she-said going around about the value of the animelos coin doors and the mickey tunes were causing a bit of a fuss; dunno how relevant that still is today though.
I've dreamed of being able to snag a pink fever cab for awhile- I'd probably trade in my yellow if I manage to scoop one some day. A little counter intuitive since 11 is my favorite mix, but I'm really not a fan of the orange. Tbh, I play more at my local arcade and they have an animelo, so I feel more inclined nowadays to shoot for that style. Something about the wonky shape and not-quite cracking my skull on the top speakers that somehow makes it charming.
Good lord, I totally forgot this is something that actually happenedIt is the one that was at Kawasaki Warehouse before it closed.
Toshibas are difficult to fix, more so than the blasts- and @PascalP is 100% correct. A replacement tube and chassis is more than the whole cabinet.Still would be my first choice if I wanted a CRT, next would be and astro MS9. blasts are absolutely not a starter cab but they have an incredibly high ceiling on what they can provide to an arcade or a home gaming experience. Unfairly maligned cab lately but definitely not for first timers.Toshibas are difficult to fix, more so than the blasts- and @PascalP is 100% correct. Blast do get an unfair rep, but they are not a starter cab. Astros/New Astro is a great starter cab.
@kcarcadegame any chance of Canary cabinets again?
