Let's Connect a PC to an Arcade Cab, Shall we??!!

I recently bought this board. For $60 (after AE coupon) I think its great, picture is vibrant when mister is connected, controls work great with two separate rpi encoders, i didnt use the sound amp as my cab has a stereo amp on it. Not sure about longevity of this product but so far good enough specially for the price.

Very cool, is this using vga out from mister then going over jamma edge at 15khz? This would be way cheaper than other solutions of adding jamma to mister.

Thats right from vga on mister io board to this board's jamma 15khz. The great additions on this board compared to previous versions are cps2 kick harness and seperate rpi encorders which makes things very simple imo

Is audio using RCA out on the mister? I typically use toslink out for better quality.

These came back in stock today so I ordered one for 58 shipped (10 dollar off coupon and coins). Any observations\good to knows since you been running it a while now?

Nothing, it just works. Very simple to use, no config needed.
Sweet! Thanks for posting it, I like this simple solution of something I can just hookup and move my mister around cabinets. The price is the real winner, since all the other solutions I have seen are over 200 bucks.

and I must say its a really option too, priced at 70euros and specially look at how small it is

Oh that's cool, have you done a comparison on the video, input, etc yet? Are you powering it through VGA? I have my mister just plugged in with ac adapter, was that an option on the aliexpress board to power through vga? I am trying to make a case for the aliexpress board now.

I have not done any direct comparisons but video quality looks similar to me may be slightly better on Antonios board. Lag also feels little bit less to me on Antonios. I am not powering mister through vga but rather seperate power supply so I am not sure if AE can power through VGA port.

I have one of those latency testers for mister I have been meaning to try out maybe ill do that one day on the aliexpress board. Their wasnt much instructions on the AE board, but i only paid 58 shipped for it, so I am taking it for what it is lol

the only thing with both of these boards is that consoles look terrible on these, I tried my Saturn with Retrotink RGB HD15 cable and it looks absolute garbage on both.

I thought I could check controllers latency but I just had the monitor latency tester. My PVM on a mister and my blast city on the AE board w\Mister had almost identical latency, so there is no video latency introduced at least.

Are you using a CPS2 kick harness on the AE board, I moved mine from my actual CPS2 over and I can only get 5 buttons to work on P1 and P2, wonder if it is a non standard pinout. I havent changed any jumpers on my board, maybe I need to do something there?

I am using actual CPS2 kickharness as well and all 6 buttons work, check the ground on button 6 and use one of the other ground pins on 5 buttons to see if that is the issue

Ill grab a wire and check, can you confirm this is how your jumpers\switches are set, thanks!

Edit: Figured it out, its the 2 jumpers beside the jamma fingers (1p_s6), yours didn't have them. I removed them and now all my buttons work with standard cps2. Your switches were all on as well, but didn't seem to make a difference when I tried those.

Folks I have been playing with Batocera 15khz script and works great with the SQ_arcade board, although the signal runs bit low so you might have to crank up the contrast knob a little up. Steam games look great.

Would be fun to downscale a PS4 M2 port to 240p and connect it to this bad boy :)
