That depends on if the HDMI device will accept 15KHz horizontal scan rate and with composite sync over the HDMI port. In theory, it could work, but in practice I would not expect it to. The El Gato ones are famously picky as it is, as I remember.will an adapter like this: VGA TO HDMI work to pass the video onto an El Gato 60s capture card? Or do I need a higher end device like an OSSC?

OSSC is flawless. I’ve also done testing with the GBS-C AIO and the RetroTINK 5x.That depends on if the HDMI device will accept 15KHz horizontal scan rate and with composite sync over the HDMI port. In theory, it could work, but in practice I would not expect it to. The El Gato ones are famously picky as it is, as I remember.
The OSSC is a recommended prescaler. I use mine at 4X for this purpose.
thanks!

Any updates with using th VGA to component cable yet? I am this close to running to Micro Center and getting a VGA to component cable to try it out with.Im gonna be trying vga to component this weekend with the tink 5x and the splitfire. Ill see how that goes. I got an ossc on the way either way, but itl be interesting to see how it fares.
