That's a very cool project but it's not the Cyberlead display, it's just a generic Pinball DMD

I see. I’ll try and find the post where I thought it was mentioned that it works with a Cyberlead display.
I'm sure it does work with a Cyberlead display, at the end of the day the display itself is a normal DMD...
The Cyberlead setup consists of 3 parts though, the display, the control board, and the IO board and this thread is about undersanding how all 3 of those work.
Replacing the control board and the io board to attach a Pi directly to the DMD display is no different than removing a game PCB and replacing it with a Pi plugged directly into the CRT monitor and then saying you understand how the game works.
