Namco Cyberlead LED Panel Experimentation and Documentation

I'm sure it does work with a Cyberlead display, at the end of the day the display itself is a normal DMD...
The Cyberlead setup consists of 3 parts though, the display, the control board, and the IO board and this thread is about undersanding how all 3 of those work.

Replacing the control board and the io board to attach a Pi directly to the DMD display is no different than removing a game PCB and replacing it with a Pi plugged directly into the CRT monitor and then saying you understand how the game works.

Bumping this thread as I couldn't find a list of Namco System 12 games supporting the DMD display, anyone cataloged this?

From what I remember from the PCB's I own, and need to re-test some;

Games displaying stuff on the DMD:
- Tekken 3
- Tekken Tag Tournament

Games NOT displaying anything specific and thus the display just goes through the standard routine like any other Jamma/JVS game:
- Paca Paca Passion
- Paca Paca Passion 2
- Paca Paca Passion Speciale

Games I'm not sure about anymore and will re-test:
- Ehrgeiz
- Soul Calibur (should work according to the YT video linked to below)

Also as a bonus I can confirm Namco System 256 (Tekken 5) does not do anything with the display.

Here are some videos I found online of the LED display for the specific games:

Doesn't Namco Museum and Mr. Driller support the LED display? Or did I imagine that in my head?
if this picture is to be believed

this picture from Highway Entertainment seems to imply that Smashcourt Pro Tournament on System 246 also supports it:

Yeah I need to pick up a Mr. Driller PCB at some point :)

Seems like the list is getting longer of supported games :D

if I recall someone on AO a while back claimed that Libero Grande worked as well.

Namco Museum
I don't believe so, it requires JVS support and Namco Museum is on system ND which doesn't have JVS support.

Potential Candidates are System 12, and System 2x6,

less likely but still possible would be NAOMI (since Namco did release a number of games on it)
and System 10 as some games had an optional JVS daughter board so maybe some of those too
