Hi, I've been lurking for a while so thought I should join (especially as I need some advice, but will come to that later.)
My first arcade cabinet was this, which I purchased from eBay in about 2000 for £50 (and the SF2CE bootleg PCB cost me £20.) It was originally a 3 button setup, so I made the new acrylic control panel and added the extra buttons. I had this in my bedroom for about 5 years, but then had to sell it when I moved out of my parents house as they didn't want it there and it was too big to take anywhere. Have regretted it ever since!
I recently got the itch to build a new one, I will hopefully have a new office / game room later this year so will finally have space. I'm currently planning to run both a couple of CPS1 and CPS2 boards, plus a RetroPi. Here's my current makeshift setups for both, I haven't made the cabinet yet:
And finally not really relevant here but in case anyone's interested, here's my home console setup too!
