this is nice! I like that you went with dithering. I guess with having even looking dithering you had to square out the letters more eh?

I'll probably try shading the WAR. I think there's enough space for it without it looking messy.

Ooooooh I love how Aurail turned out on the OLED screen!
I was worried, but that font actually came across well.

I'll tackle Flash Point next.

I always thought I was pretty good at pixel art... But you guys (esp @opt2not) are really knocking it outa the park IMO, fucking wow man.

So happy @Frank_fjs was willing to give this idea a chance. Everytime I see the actual screen display I'm beyond impressed.
 
I may need to switch to a different OLED library or recode to use a different buffer. I'm running out of memory! I'm at 80% capacity with the 11 thus far supplied images.

I'll work it out, spent a few hours updating to a different library which was way faster but much more of a memory hog. I'll keep persuing.

Thanks man. I'm an artist/animator by profession, and been a game dev for 20+ years now, so I got a bit of experience with low-fi artwork. But I started my career at the PS1 era, when 3d was still in its infancy. I just missed the 2D era, and would have loved to work on pixel games back then. These days I do pixel art for fun on my own projects, or help out some indie dev friends on the side.

Though I don't have the tech knowledge to contribute any fun hardwares like multi's or custom project devices, I can contribute artwork to the community. Doing something like this is fun for me too. ;)

Uh oh! The library must be taking out a lot of memory! Let us know what you come up with, and any adjustments we need to make. But the bmp's are as low as we can get them. They're only 1 Bit in color depth so there's nowhere lower we can go at this point.

For Wrestle War, my gut is telling me it might be too much with the shading to read clearly, but in this case I think we need to see it on the screen to fully judge. I think it looks awesome though!

Haha, well it won't matter if the resolution is lower. With bitmaps being 1 Bit color depth, cutting the res in half won't change the file size. They'll still come out as 1KB files.

Thanks guys, I was itching for some more artwork. Up to 14 now, getting there fast.

Don't fret about memory, I'll sort it out. No need to change anything.
