Sega trackball chained type 2 IO

Have any of you confirmed a proper pinout for using trackballs on a type 2 io daisy chain?

Does anyone have the pinout of a Sega trackball?

I made an educated guess at the trackball pins at the time of writing but I couldn't confirm as I didn't have a trackball at the time.

as for the pinout on the trackball itself, it varies but it's usually pretty obvious.

Is there any risk of damage testing random inputs I can probably figure out the x and y without the io.

Once I have the parts in my hand I will confirm your write up on the type 2 io rotary Inputs.

Confirmed working with dynamic golf.

Pin 33/34 are left and right 35/36 up and down

The type 2 harness color codes even mach the Sega track ball harnesses both have male pin ends though.
