Yay, thanks @MetalliC for the Powerstone 2 and CvS2 unlocks! Does CvS2 have the 3v3 mode unlocked in the test mode menu as well? I'll have to make a Dumping Union donation on payday.

@jassin000, any chance you could post the modified ROM image somewhere for myself and others to download, please? :)

So are you saying these patches only enable modes that can be turned on in the test menu anyways? Just wondering what to look for after applying the patches.
 
one more patch for Marvel vs Capcom 2:
enable Dreamcast controller and VMU support when run with any region BIOS
may be applied to most common hacked binary, or "unlocked" or original EPR-23085A.ic11

I have a question; is it possible to patch MAME roms for VMU and Controller support ? If yes how ? please :)
 
thanks MetalliC just found the enabeled vmu and controller support in mvc2. Nem pointed me in this direction
 
weird i applied to the bin file (mvsc2_epr-23062a_hack.7z) made the adjustments based on the data shifted in bin file it booted up fine but when i went to game test mode, game configuration it locked up and didnt enter the game configuration menu. same thing happened when applied to marvelvscapcom2.rar. yes files were unziped and in their bin form

good catch. I was not paying attention. That leads me to ask is marvelvscapcom2.rar also not the 085A version?
 
nem, yes the values and hex string leading up at the change location and after were the same. Part of the reason i fell for thinking it was the same.
