What's new

So whats next on the list of multis?

My dream multi would be a Cave multi board that ran all the games arcade perfect.
You know, if an arcade perfect board were possible, aren't we talking more like an ArcadeSD Multicade type deal, but one you can put whatever MAME roms on it that you want and they play perfectly...? Like a non-crappy Pandora's Box.
to me this is call GroovyMame:)

Did someone say Playchoice10 ?? :)

OMG did you build this?
Yes, that is prototype from last year. Current version prototype can control all 10 cart slots from slot 1 and simulate all cart slots populated. Over 50 mappers supported now, the goal is to support most of the popular NES titles.

Also designed hardware for the Vs. as well, as most of the logic required is the same :)

Slowly but faithfully finishing the software side of it all

I'm getting a playchoice 10 cab soon! Dual monitor version! Hook me up, man!

So to clarify this project - it is different from the current NES Game Link that plays actual NES carts and supports a Powerpak to play virtually any NES game - this version plays any rom and simulates the use of all 10 slots with no additional cart or hardware to do it like the current option? Probably plays the games off a SD card? If so, this is a very exciting project and can't wait for it to be available. I have a PC-10 single monitor board waiting for it! The NES Gamelink and Powerpak combo works alright, but simulating all 10 slots and not needing the additional cart hardware would be a great advantage. Good luck with finishing it and please keep us posted on the progress.

You're working on a Vs multi?! I'm worrying Nazerine will never finish his, so this is amazing news.

Will definitely force me to step up the restoration on my red tent though...

Do not worry, the UniVersus project is alive and well  nazerine is my forum name on KLOV, but its hard to keep up with that forum at times.

It has been a long term project no doubt, but it has not been neglected or forgotten. Still being actively developed. The hardware has evolved through many prototype versions, part changes, feature creep, but it will all be worth it. Sometimes I regret wanting to make it support anything beyond just the original Vs. games :P

Anyhow, we should stop derailing Darksoft's thread and I will make a thread for discussing PC10/Vs. when the time comes.

I just know how you guys love teasers of the future 8o 8o

Sorry, not gonna happen. You'll know when it's ready to be shipped.

You know the vultures and parasites are there waiting for what's the next thing we release to copycat it.....
At this point, you've established a track record for solid products, so there's little need to "build the hype train" before a release. Fans of your work will buy upon release and those not familiar will catch word shortly thereafter.
