Not sure if its any help, but at least this Iyama manual has a schematic using the 1888FTC and its pinout, etc...on page 73 I think. It might be of some use to compare with the datasheet you found.

If I get a chance, I will read though this. I used ot be able to tell ya how what every component in crt monitors were for and ho they operated, etc...I could have at one point drawn you an schematic so you could out together a working monitor, but alas, no more It will take some time for it all to come back to me.

Bit of a bump for some related info. This Egret 3 Wei-Ya monitor I'm borrowing came with an LG A68QCU970X. This tube has the heater positive on pin 10, and pin 9 is internally tied to pin 12. The PF chassis neck board has the pin 10 and pin 12 traces going to ground, so you will blow one of the fuses if you try to run it like this. To make the chassis work with this tube, simply keep the ground ring pin inserted in pin 5, and remove pin 12 from the socket entirely before installing.
