As promised, the guide to install the bios board!

BIOS BOARD FINAL:

Same procedure for ZN1 or ZN2's:

1: Fit bios board to the connector at the back with pins or socket if you prefer.
2: Remove IC 353 of motherboard
3:Remove IC 652 of motherboard (fit a socket for later if you like)
4: Attach from J2 of the bios board to the following pin pads of IC353

BIOSJ2 -BOARD353
1- ---------- - Pin13
2- ---------- - Pin15
3- ---------- - Pin17
4- ---------- - Pin19
5- ---------- - Pin22
6- ---------- - Pin24
7- ---------- - Pin26
8- ---------- - Pin28
9- ---------- - Pin10

=========================
5:
Bios rom used can be 27c400, 800 or 160

For 27c400 Pin 1 of the socket is empty and resistors / switch not fitted - you can load 1 bios.
Bypass capacitor optional but it's nice to have

For 27c800/160 switch and 2 10k resistors needs to be fitted - you can load 2-4 different bios on switch.
Bypass capacitor optional but it's nice to have

Done!

==========================================================
DO NOT WIRE UP THE BACK CONNECTOR FOR V1 WITH THIS GUIDE, ASK ME ABOUT IT FIRST.
DO NOT USE BIOS V2 board (ask me for a replacement final ver if not already fitted...)
==========================================================

Any questions about installing etc, please add below so it's all in one place :)

So, with this BIOS board I could convert, for example, a PCB with "Street Fighter EX2" to, let me see... "Strider 2", am I right?

Correct, but strider 2 is a bit tricky as roms need piggybacking and an extra logic chip fitted on each.
64meg flash adapter DOES NOT WORK... so it must be done this way.

@Viku has done one before and it runs great.

I don't have yet a donor PCB, but I definitely want to try it, maybe with Tetris TGM if it means it can be done without piggybacking EPROMs... ^__^;

I re-read that thread again, the first time I missed the ROM board for titles that don't need special HW (Tecmo?).

I'll stop derailing this thread and PM @Hammy directly if he still has a spare BIOS board... ^__^;

Yes, the romboards are for ZN1's only at the moment, probably those games will run on ZN2 someday but i've not figured it out yet....
Still waiting for the magic ZN1 Gnet bios to see what's going on :)
