What's new
Can you kindly try the Unibios again with the current setup so we’ll know if that was causing problems or not?
That's what I was about to say.
you tried several fixes at once so we don’t know which one solved your issues.
After seeing the structure of his microSD I'm pretty sure that the problem came from the files he used and Roll-up pack fixed it.
Possibly true - am I wrong in asking for the format of the rom files I would need to work in this app? I'm obviously no whiz at this, but am I assuming that anyone who buys this will already know what format the roms should be? I didn't see anything in the instructions other than we won't tell you anything about roms. I'm fine getting corrected about the structure of my SD card, but I couldn't find anything from the get-go that would show how to do it the right way. I have AOF 1 and 3 on cart, so I could at least try to find out how to get the proper files from those carts if the concern was legitimacy.

As for Unibios, I'll try installing it again. The issue with the battery for now is that when I originally tried to remove it, the thing was soldered on. I think I damaged the connection trying to get it off. That said, can someone remind me what model battery is used as a replacement.

don't worry about file format. In 4 of the 5 files it's just concatenated. The other one is simply 16bits interlaced. People released roll up packs so users dont have to worry.

About the battery. Some mobo have a rechargeable VG2430 and some others a regular CR2032 which is a usual 3V battery.

Thanks for information about the battery. Now, roll packs are nice, but what is done about running homebrew games? I was also interested in that (not NGDev, I already know about that), but how does one get homebrew NeoGeo games to run on your product?

Homebrew will be allowed after the remaining kinks with original games are worked out. We've restricted it to make troubleshooting easier.

Okay - I wasn't aware that was a feature that wasn't already in the system. I'll make myself comfortable here and keep up with developments.

Last I heard they are coming soon, not available yet though.

Edit: Got beaten to it!

While I'm here, I did want to comment on the loading speed. It's as fast as advertised. The cart will load games so fast to the point that I forgot that was a defining feature, because some of the games just loaded into the slot in mere seconds when I choose "exit to program". That makes choosing new games pretty painless, something I'd do much less if the games took over a minute to load, considering flash memory had to be cleared as well. Once I got an understanding of how it works, I'm pretty happy with the DS Multicart. :)

I don't know if the firmware has something to do with games but after the update nothing has changed.

Super Dodge Ball - Still Black Screen on MV1C (working with the original card and NeoSD)
Magician Lord - Still no music playback on MV1C (working with the original card and NeoSD)

And of course still the bugs with High Scores on every games.

It's already in the system, just turned off to make trouble shooting easier and more focused. Once everything is working great with the original roms, then the support for the homebrew roms will be turned on via a new update.

Those problems don't happen in my MV1C but I'll have a look. Has any other game any issues?
The high score issue is known and will be fixed in the next menu update.

@ekorz you also have a MV-1C. Can you confirm if this happens to you as well? If someone else with a MV-1C can give it a try PLMK.

I don't have a 1C, but the high score bug thing happens on 1FZ too... Just clear your NVRAM.

@Darksoft I installed Unibios 3.3 again, and outside of an initial memory exception error reported by Unibios, I was still able to load the usual functions of Unibios while on a game. Switched to a new game, and the cheats and jukebox of that game worked properly.

To conclude, it does seem that the game's format on initial load up was the culprit, and the roll up pack fixed it.

I'll look forward to the homebrew feature once it's ready to activate.

Glad to hear you got it working and we will do continues releases of menus/firmwares to improve this multi all the time.

Yeah the unibios tends to throw up exception errors when switching virtual slots but pressing C to soft reboot will get it going again right away.

We will continue to work on unibios compatibility in the future.

hi,
i want to update the firmware.
So first i have to put the last .img file in the update folder: after the update, I can put the top file released on May 2018 in the update folder and update it too.
Is it correct? Is it necessary to delete the BUFF file and and/or the SLOT1,SLOT2,SLOT3 files?

thanks

Theses issues about Magician Lord and Super Dogde ball were already mentionned few months ago and some users like me have the same issues.

I'm using a CMVS by Analogue Interactive (MV1C - Unibios 3.3) and a Omega CMVS (MV1C - Unibios 3.3). Both are in a perfect working condition (like new)

The only games who i get problem are theses 2 one (Magician Lord & Super Dodge Ball)

All others games works fine for me (Except High Score).

Of course i have also the original MVS games and they working fine and the NeoSD to test (and theses games works perfectly too on the 2 CMVS without any bugs).
Only on the Darksoft MVS Multi Card i have theses issues.

Anothers users has commented about theses games here :

User @Sp33dFr34k have the same bug like me in Magician Lord (no music in slot 1) :
(note : i have musics for Magician Lord on slot 2, but not on slot 1).

User @tom5151 have the same bug like me in Super Dodge Ball (black screen on boot (slot 1), but we can hear when we add credits and nothing else):
(note : black screen on any slot, i can see the Neo Geo Logo and hear when add a coin but nothing else).

Theses bugs are real, please fix them :).
