DARKSOFT Darksoft's MultiMVS Latest Firmware, Menu and Instructions

Sorry for asking about this if it's been explained already in this thread, but I noticed in the v2.3 guide there is a link to a youtube video that demonstrates how a multi-slot board should have all of the slots populated along with the Darksoft cart, did I understand that right? If so why is that? I have a 2-slot but no other cartridges, if I should get one I will, to stick in slot 1 or slot 2, whichever is recommended.

I'm currently using a 5 volt 4 amp supply.

You don't have to populate all slots. If you use just the multi it will boot to cross hatch. Just wait a few seconds and hit B (think, Maybe C?) to do a soft reset and it will work.

Oh I don't have to press any buttons, my 2-slot automatically boots with the Darksoft alone, I just asked to make sure I wasn't damaging anything.

Ok cool. You won't damage anything just running the DS cart.

I updated both of my MVS carts with this new menu - works great, all graphical dots/glitches are gone!

This menu will NOT work with the AES multicart right? (there is a comment that the menu is the same for both?)

it did NOT work with my MultiAES cart - went to the blue screen, and then just didn't reboot. I had to put the last menu image (22 Mar 2023) and then it booted up again.

Did it the second time, AES menu upgrade worked fine.

I retract this - I did the update again, and it worked fine!

Just loaded, no more graphics glitches in the menu and golden axe moved out of homebrew and showing in the menu!!!

yup, worked for me too on NEO-MVH0 MVS, forgot you needed to hit start a few times to get to the Clear BackupRAM dialog from the cross hatch screen

If you use homebrew this new one is very helpful.

Remember that FW And Menu go together, but I think if your FW is from 2021 then you will be good with this Menu.

5 years ago I got issues with the aes multi with my set up and now I have the MVS multi which works well. I was just wondering if the new FW + menu would improve some stability during navigation into the menu etc
