Yeah, gonna have to agree on Blasts. Those tri-sync monitors are super finicky.
I’m curious about the common issues with Blasts, as I had them on my list for my next cab to get.
What are the pitfalls for those, monitor related or other?

Monitors. From what I'm told prone to fail and not easy to fix.

Don’t monitors are trash and parts are extremely hard to get.... go for a NNC or Astro city. The NNC is nice because the bezel is interchangeable so if the tri sync goes you can put a 29 inch in and it will fit.

Thanks, That will probably be the case. Look is not as pleasing to my eyes, but it will have to do :D Seeing all of those NNC being completely yellow originally put me off to the Blast City path, but I'll chose practicality for this one.

This is from 2012 on a different forum But came @300wins who I feel really knows both in and out. Hope you dont mind me quoting you....:)

"I beg to differ on the Blast being more versatile. I used to think that too, but after getting a Net City, I find it to be more versatile than a Blast City. Why? Because you can still get 3 different bezel for a Net City that will let you put in either a true flat CRT (like a Sanwa PFX or a Toshiba perfect flat) or a Blast City tube (Toshiba A68LBT696X, Toshiba A68KZN696X) or even a New Astro/Egret 2 tube (Toshiba A68KJU96X). Finding a bezel is hard enough for the Blast, and you can't fit it easily with 3 different types of monitors like the Net City. "

Alright, here's the sales update. Cabs ready to ship now:

CROSSxBEATS Rev. Sunrise: $1,500 - This is missing the top pop I think, but it is minty new, something like 500 plays on it. Hate to sell it since it's so nice, but I have another coming.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival: $1,000 - Two of these left. Great shape, probably will be updated to current by the time they ship.
Blast City: $900 - Four left, need to talk to two people first to see if they are still interested with my AS-IS conditions on candy sales, see below.
NAOMI Universal: $800 - Selling one, 2 or 3 bad wheels, sitdown type. AS-IS candy sales, see below.
New Net City: $750 - Selling one, unyellowed bezel, 3 bad wheels, Street Fighter IV burn. a few other things not amazing. AS-IS candy sales, see below.
Gunslinger Stratos: $2,250 - This is a full-size, not the compacts we had before.
Vewlix L AMI: $1,500 - Two available, I think FastIO, not sure if they have headers or full-size panels
SQ: $800 - Most currently have FastIO and NESiCA Astro panels. I will make an Alberto order soon, would be able to lump in a CP from him.

Here's cabs we have ordered. Waiting on stock for other non-candies and Vewlix/Noirs, etc. Note: these are ALL the candies we're getting, no more, and I'm keeping most probably. ALL CRT candies fall into the AS-IS policy below. We are buying them sight unseen, monitors tested and serviced. Don't bother asking to pay more for better cabs, I tried to do that last time and it came back to bite me, mainly because I'm not ready to uphold it. I can give priority based on purchase order, that's about it. I'm listing everything for extraneous circumstances, but unless those come up, I am not selling any ACs, NACs, or NNCs.

Blast City: $900
Astro City: $900
New Astro City: $900
New Net City: $900
jubeat: $2,000 - One or two available, hese all have qubell or clan art, plus brand-new artset for Festo
DISSIDIA: Final Fantasy: $1,000 - These don't come ready to work, up to you
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival: $1,000 - Two available
Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Noir: $1,250 - Functionality is up to you
Noir: $800 - Pending
Vewlix L AMI - Pending Pricing
Vewlix FC - Pending Pricing

As usual, I can take requests and put it in the system. I recently finished a better tracking system with my distributor, so responses to inquiries should go a lot better. Waiting on a few sales and I should have a decent deposit for making Yahoo! Japan purchases, but how to deal with them is still in the air.

AS-IS Candy Cab Policy: They all work, mostly have 1L panels, but I may be willing to part with some of the better 2L panels. You buy under the express understanding that I have no idea if the monitors will show up at the other end. You are responsible for everything the moment it's loaded on on the truck. Most are still part of cabs with clean wiring and tested/serviced monitors before leaving Japan, I'm just removing any guarantees on monitor when it arrives due to issues after delivery and difficult buyers. I have a no-tolerance policy on bad attitude. Be polite/reasonable.

Yo uh, this is straight outta my ass and hypothetical, but how much interest is there for a container to be sent to Melbourne? I don't have very much to throw on there, and candies are really scarce now, but this might be something I'll try.

Would there be some kind of warranty with the machines — that they will at least fire up and be as described at time of sale?

Would you also be able to send photos prior to payment of the cabs — I think both of those things are a must for people forking over the prices you’re asking...

What about Australian customs, duties and port fees? Are your prices inclusive or that?

If the answers are “yes”, I think you could shift a few cabs...

May not be worth it though once you factor in:

(Prices in AUD)

-Cost of Cabinet = around $1250
-Cost per Cabinet to ship to Australia = I'm guessing around $200-350
-10% GST on the total cost of the Cabinet including shipping fees etc.
-Cost to ship Cabinet locally = around $300

You'd be looking at over $2000.

I'm asking because someone's looking to ship one cab and it's something around $1,200 USD. Going into 3+ cabs, you might as well get a container even if you're not close to filling it. If there isn't any real direct interest, I'm just going to help them get it shipped direct.

Plus exchange rate fluctuations, unexpected costs, fees, I’d be willing to bet a basic Candy might end up closer to $2500 AUD to the door... pity, but thems the breaks of living on this island of ours ;) — even splitting it up on a container, you’re only looking at saving $200-300 AUD max. Getting cabs wholesale from Japan brings these numbers down dramatically. @tiff_lee knows what’s up!

Blast City's were USD$400 and Viewlix were USD$650, buying the cabs was probably the cheapest part the shipping was killer.

I haven't even got round to testing all these cabs yet or running the numbers on what each of them owe me.

What I will say though if you're looking to import to sell on/flip i'd get committed buyers first, you'll find a lot of people will straight up evaporate once you ask for $2-2.5k for a cab. There was a mint looking blast city on AA with a spare psu for $1500 for ages, this is a cab lots of people always ask for over here and yet for weeks it went unsold (may still be unsold now I haven't checked).

Yep. My wholesaler in Japan charges around $500 for a very clean Vewlix and $300-450 for Candy Cabs. When you’re paying reseller prices, then shipping ‘em overseas again that’s when it gets way out of hand. Like an around the world trip ticket for a cab ;)

I'd be interested in. NAC in Toronto if we had other Canadians or people living around here for it. Maybe just North East

These prices are very wrong. I don't have wide connections yet but this is misleadingly low for what stuff costs right now, unless you're buying stuff like KC with no regard for condition or functionality.

Easy fix.

No they’re not.I have a price list in front of me right now
Why don't you share that for us then. You are advertising that clean Vewlixes cost less than I'm paying for candy cabs. Candies yes, I pay a bit more for serviced cabs, but with the current market demand and prices for clean Vewlixes with all harnesses and IOs, I somehow doubt you're paying $500 and able to say "I'll take 8". Prove me wrong and I'll go order them myself
