Universal monitor bracket for Vewlix

Finally got around to replacing the stock monitor, I think it was on its last legs. Looks amazing! Highly recommend getting this if you love your Vewlix.

just replaced my 32mp58hq with the LG 32UN650-W (a reasonably priced LG 32 inch 4k ips! didn't even notice that it came out. skipping the oled for now :p), looks even better! very little screen door effect. hopefully someone comes up with a 4k scaling solution at some point, i'd love that ridiculously sharp look you get with integer scaling on higher dpi monitors. best part is that it has identically minimal input lag to the 32mp58hq at ~2ms near the top, ~17-18ms at the bottom

just to note, I had to mount it on the very bottom of the sub-bracket to avoid the stand release switch (fair; I have the 200mm bracket and had to offset it to keep the ports accessible anyway) and because of that, I also had to flip the rest of the mount to have any mounting holes line up with the bracket's, leaving the controls inaccessible for now. no worries about that since I never had to configure the previous monitor after mounting it so I doubt i'll need it on this one
 
Dam i really need 2 of these one for an FC and another for a DB :(

is this an old post on the site it says expected to ship april 12th?

What's confusing? Pre orders ship on the 21st like the site says. I just bought one 5 mins ago.

It makes sense to prepay that way hes not out of pocket when people flake

He was selling these last year i think, and since he been MIA for a while now i though that preorder link was old and since it did not say april 21st 2021 i figure it was old and he have not updated anything. Also he just answered my email and he said its correct so ill be placing an order too now :)
 
Ah I didn't know he was MIA. I bought a joystick universal mounting plate a few weeks ago and it showed up super fast
 
Ah gotcha.. well he is back everyone so who ever has not pre order there mount and is late to the party like me lol go pre order :)

Installed a LG 32MN60T-B into a Rev B bracket. The metal thing that sticks out for the monitor stand to attach to can be removed from the monitor by using a plastic shim to open the case starting around the monitor's control stick and undoing the screw near the HDMI ports. Remove the metal thing by undoing the screw on each side and close it back up.

The bracket is an amazing design. The hole at the bottom to allow access to the monitor controls is big brain engineering. <3
 
I saw some people speculate about the exa at 1440p. My exa motherboard came in the mail today. My bracket should be shipping soon but I'm super impatient so I just placed the monitor in front of the dead one in my vewlix.

I'm using the LG 32GK650F-B and set the exa to 4k through the service menu. The monitor gave a warning and I just ignored it. It's connected via HDMI.

I checked the the exa in the service menu and it's showing 1440p. The motherboard is version 1.4 and Aka & Blue is version 1.2

I played around with the monitor a little but haven't really tried to dial anything in. The monitor is showing 100hz instead of the 60Hz I expected.

There is no motion blur, ghosting, or any lag that I can feel. The game feels like it's smoked some crack rock and is super fast, coming from cave pcbs this is gonna take some getting used to.

Ugh I can't wait for my bracket to show up!!!!

Edit: Turned off free sync and turned on the 1ms response time thing and it shot up to 120hz.

Okay so I played around with the monitor again today. The Exa tried to send the full 4k signal, which the monitor of course doesn't like. I couldn't get it to set to 1440p and 1080p is too fuzzy.

The monitor didn't hold its setting even though it was powered on and in "sleep" mode for a few days.

It defaulted to 60hz today and Aka & Blue played more realistically and wasn't overly hard. 100hz and 120hz might be good for FPS games, but definitely not for shmups. I don't think this monitor is going to work for me.

Can anyone recommend a 4k monitor that does 60hz and will fit this bracket, or should I just go with a 1080p that is confirmed to fit?

Edit: I ordered a LG 32MN60T-B which is 1080p and fits the bracket.

I recieved my bracket last week, but I've been good and busy so I never much took a look until today.
Hefty piece of equipment, looking forward to upgrading my AMI.

For my question-
I'm looking at getting a 1080p screen, as I'll really only use this with my X3 and occasionally ps4/360.
Looking at the monitors listed in the OP, the LG ones jump out, but I'm concerned about viewing angles since I'm gonna have a 2p panel on this cab.
Am i just being paranoid, or is there a better 1080p alternative?

Just finished working on my new Vewlix Dia orange with LG 32un650.
Original monitor supported 1080p but since I use consoles and pc on my vewlix, i decide to switch to 4k monitor.
As a result, I am very happy with it. I did not see dramatic change switching from FHD to 4k as everyone was hyped about. But, I guess its better with xbox and ps4.

This was my second universal bracket that I installed and I am very happy with quality and result!

@sugar4salt Looks sick. Where did you purchase your universal bracket? I thought they didn't exist for the Diamond?

Oh wow didn't know this. Really helpful to know! I know about Hadouken Arcade. Just didn't think the universal bracket would fit a Diamond.
