I just want to get my hands on one and 3d design and print it.
I could have sworn I saw some STL files for some of the parts.

the hardest part to repo and the part that is most often in need of replacing is the rubber "button" part of the of the buttons... since those are the moving/wear parts and have often cracked and leaked from age... 3D printing those would be terrible, really you'd need to make a cast and mold them.

Honestly the Arcade Hobby needs some people to seriously get into mold making to start making and selling repo parts. There are many MANY opportunities for near perfect repos of plastic parts here that would blow 3D printing stuff out of the water in terms of both quality and cost.

I did start researching it at one point but, that's not me. I've got a startup business and 0 time... I may eventually have to close 3D printing shop, but for now at my current pace it's at least manageable.

I had no idea these were so deep? What are you guys planning on installing these in? I have my doubts if that thing is going to fit in a Astro.

What are the dimensions?
 
Yeah, that is a thing of beauty. I can't wait to get a set!!! Does anyone here make a harness for the original pcb for the spinners? Im sure with these coming out soon, there will be some demand for a repro harness for them, I know i'd buy one!!!

This is only the test prototype. The gears on these have been cnc machined. The production run will injection molded like the originals.
If these are a success, we are thinking of reworking it to make a slimmer version to fit more cabs and arcade sticks.
So long as the intial 4 I am in for fit whatever sega panel candy cabinet cabinet then that should be fine. Likely keeping two for a woody on down the road, then a panel or two for candy cab.

I know someone who’s looking to get mold injection equipment. Last I talked to him about it was he was just producing the actual molds but was hoping by the end of the year to be actually be able to do the injection molding himself.

I never seen any file for any part of the pneumatic controller. If you ever come across anything ever again please let me know.

I already have a set but if your talking about the grommets https://www.arcadefixit.com/product.sc?productId=846 that unfortunately I don’t have.

I’m not sure what else is in there that might be needed as I’ve never been able to see one in person or even a picture of one taken apart.

I think the biggest problem for tight panels is the depth, and the biggest factor in the depth is the microswitch mounting.

The vewlix is probably the tightest control panel housing in terms of depth. Do we know what the available depth is in a vewlix housing?

I think if the micro swich was mounted upside-down and we used a small upside-down see-saw lever to actuate it you could probably reduce the overall height by ~2cm. you could probably reduce the height another 1cm by just shrinking up the vertical thicknesses and clearances as much as possible.
