What's new
I tried with stock bios on my MV 1fz played this KOF 2003...nothing change, always sound problems at the start of round...
I download a rom of KOF 2003 but I don't know how to convert it to make work on the multimvs...and I don't know how work an hex editor and merge files...If someone can make me another files (maybe another rom set that the one which is in the roll pack)to try it will be very nice.

I don't know whether it's yet "done enough" for a menu entry, but there seems to be another homebrew Neo Geo shooter under development and already available https://kakoeimon.itch.io/abyssal-infants — right now it might pretend to be "Super Sidekicks", but it would be even nicer to allow both games to coexist

Have you tried in another MVS motherboard? If not you should find somebody local to do some testing?
Unfortunately I haven't another motherboard or someone to test the cart...but it's the only game which I have problem with.
I would like to try another rom that which one in the roll pack, i see anothers mame ROM more recents, maybe this one doesn't work with my motherboard, why I don't know...but I don't know how to do...if some one (Misturugi-w maybe 🤞 please)can makes me another files with another rom, it will be nice.
Or some one has another idea.
Thanks to try to help me Mhide💪

Or some one has another idea.

Sounds to me like it's a quirk with either your motherboard or the cart considering you already tried files that work perfectly for someone else. Ask on Neoarcadia for someone to loan you another motheboard? Or just outright buy one, considering how cheap they are.

I don't think it was possible but why not, that's a possibility.
That's a good idea to loan one or buy one.
Exactly I try files of Mrhide (same file as me) without success.
I thought another rom version will maybe solve the problem.
Thanks nem for your help.

This "quirk" is like a bug?It couldn't be fix by un update?
I don't manage to attach a video at my post 😅

Here the video of sounds issues on KOF 2003 with my MV-1FZ, stock or unibios 3.3

@angel2501 -- try another motherboard, then come back if you still have the issue?

I do not have this problem using the latest firmware/menu, roll-up pack and a MV1FZ motherboard or my 4-Slot.

I understand what you said, unfortunately I don't have another motherboard to test.
I have some difficult to understand is the fact that we have same motherboard, same firmware/menu and rom, so why there is this problem? like other persons here have problems with other games which work great on my setup?
Since two years I have this setup it's the first game which have issues. The other work great.

Unless you know for certain your MVS motherboard is 100% functional there’s a lot of things that could be wrong in that regard (bad RAM, issues with chips). If you could borrow another motherboard or test your cart on someone else’s that would help rule that out at least.

Aside from that make sure you 5v/12v is steady.

Failing that. There’s not much anyone here can help you out with aside from perhaps sending the cart to someone to test / fix if there is indeed an issue.

Thanks you for this explications.
The 5v/12v are ok.
My MVS is a consoliezd one maybe it's a reason.
In my mind I suspect a bad compality with the rom, I don't know if it's possible. I don't know anything in code or programs.
That why I would try to convert another mame ROM but this is too difficult for me.

If it's consolized you may have a problem with the amount of amps your PSU can supply.

You keep mentioning the game file, the one in the roll up pack is the one everyone else uses with no issues, so it’s not that.

Being a consolised unit, how are you measuring the 12v/5v?

I measure it at the connector pin which is at the back where transfo is plugged.
Is there another way to mesure it?

Maybe only for this games. On garou mark of the wolves, metal slug X or art of fighting 3 no issues with sounds or other.
Thank you to help me 👍

I'm working on a new version of the menu with the help of the new menu guy. Besides some cosmetic fixes, new features, etc. I want to add new games.

Can you let me know what games names are missing from the menu right now? No Samurai Showdown V Perfect or NGDEVTEAM games will be added.

These titles come to my mind:
- demo of Black Tiger
- CD conversion of Zintrick
- Hypernoid
- King Of Fighters 2002 (PS2 compilation)
- Neotris
Anything else?

I have seen this SnowBros2 for NeoGeo?!?! I assume it must be fake: https://www.retrostic.com/es/roms/neo-geo/snow-bros-2-83409
Yes great news 👍
May it be possible king of fighters 2003 (PS2 compilation) 😁
