I’m talking about the same US ones, same as the repros.

Iirc E2 is shallower than a cute cp. Also snk ls30 sticks only fit properly on one side of an E2 as there is a plastic wedge that gets in the way on player 2 side.

Desing will probably change, but this should get the testing out of the way to confirm things work.
 
1. I'm definitely interested, but I want to make sure I'll be able to install these in my cabs. The cabs I own are Taito Egret 29 and Capcom Impress. Do I need to buy a special control panel or can I just install the spinner in the place of a current joystick? I had always assumed that if a control panel supports Sanwa JLF, that one could just remove the joystick/pcb from the panel and install a spinner as an alternate control, but is this not the case?

2. Does the spinner support CPS2/CpS2 multi? (the order page only mentions CPS1). I'm really interested in playing Puzzloop 2!

The spinner doesn't support anything, it's your cab/PCB that supports spinners.

I don't believe anyone has measured the control panel depth on an E29 or Impress, you might start by measuring the distance from the bottom of the control panel to the bottom of the housing when fully closed (take the joystick out close it back up then use a ruler or calipers to measure the depth) best to do it for both P1 and P2 incase there are features inside the control panel that could cause problems. you might also want to measure the bolt distances for the joystick mount to ensure that it will work with the spinner also.

As for CPS1 and CPS2 neither technically support spinners, HOWEVER if you have an original Lost World PCB, or the upcoming CPS1 Multi those DO support spinner input.
For CPS2 to play Puzz Loop 2 or Eco Fighters with a spinner requires an adapter board (just like the original games did to support spinners) both of these are being worked on though.

On my vewlix I measure about 76mm and the spinner fits fine in that space. Let us know how much space you have available on those cabs taking measurements as @twistedsymphony stated.
 
@mikehaggar also asked about the mounting options on the control panel and I'm curious about the same thing as I've never seen what the original spinner looks like from the inside of a cab. Likewise, which joystick styles that the @hursit control panel offering supports? The preview pics on the site don't tell the whole story as it doesn't display a view from underneath.

wonderful project. Well done to all involved!

Would anyone know many games does this support? I currently play this game via MAME emulation with the data east rotary sticks and the gpwiz40 interface.

I've a cps1 multi ordered though so I think I'm interested in this. Should I be or do you think the data east stick setup is a good alternative? I've never used a real forgotten worlds cab/spinner so I've no idea if I'm missing out.

I think the push button functionality was only originally intended for Forgotten Worlds. However, the spinner could be used for anything that uses a normal 72/16 gear ratio with a 24-window wheel. And of course, there's nothing stopping you from using the push button in place of any action button. I think it could work really well for all 1-button spinner games, like Puzzloop.

So it will work for arkanoid? Same pinout as taito spinners? Also @hursit will the spinner come with the loom to connect to pcb?
 
Small update on the Mister support side:

Decided to go with this design, so it adds joystick, buttons and spinner support
So this should make it easier to make your own controllers/panels, etc.. for use with mister, etc.


Also, dont sleep on placing your orders for the spinners, you can split up your payments if you need to.
