Taito Type X 3 (TTX3) Owners Thread - Pics/Info/Stuff

Neither do I. Just switch the cab on and the auto start kicks in from the IO. Turning off is soft of course.

Hi, I have a TTX3 with FastIO in a Vewlix Diamond Orange with 2L16B. I wanted 8 buttons per player in case I someday want to play PC/console games on the Vewlix, but I saw SFV Type Arcade supports buttons 7 & 8 as macros.

Can TTX3 support buttons 7 & 8? If so, what’s the best way to connect them?

I don’t believe fastio firmware supports buttons 7/8. Sfv uses a different i/o.

If you are playing pc/console games, you are probably using a brooks board which you can then wire up all the buttons.

I made DB15 arcade stick to USB keyboard interface for artax 4.1. It works well on ttx3 & ttx4.

Not sure how good the fastIO is, but it seems to me that sega type 3 IO is quite good (jvs wise)... much better than capcom jvs/jamma adapter.
the capcom JVS to JAMMA IO ADDS a frame of latency ON PURPOSE.

it isn't great.
but I will say that I have shmup fan friends and they say that in comparison, the fast IO is MUCH better than the JVS IO.

idk if it matters at all with X3, but I’d recommend at least 2x4 so it runs Dual Channel, but want to hear if anyone else here has feedback on that

i'm assuming this message will go away after i get the Artax multi installed on my ttx3? I just wanted to test the Fast io and quickly connected the ttx3 to an external monitor.

Yeah. Keep that drive as-is for now, it is possible to boot NxL2 with a legit drive on a private network later if there was ever a desire to
