DARKSOFT CPS1 Multi - Support thread

Hi folks. I just ordered the ltd ed CPS1 multi DSP16A from Highscoresave.com today and am excited to get it in hand.
I have 3 x donar boards and all have the same c-board 92631C-6. I understand these are only rated as 'good' donar boards in the guide which is not ideal, but I see they require a decrypted romset to function. I've searched the archive but cannot see a decrypted set anywhere. The CPS2 set is freely available, but only the standard CPS1 set.
Any assistance is appreciated. I cannot for the life of me recall which historical Mame version used decrypted roms. Is there a rom builder available? Or any recommended software to decrypt them?
Apologies if this is dealt with elsewhere, I just want to be prepped for when it arrived early next week. Can't wait!
Update, just spotted this post from @Darksoft. So its only the 1.5 roms that are encrypted?

No, only sound CPU was encrypted. In the rest of the games, what changes is the chip in the C Board. The multi is able to inject keys and make a C board with a B-21 if it's proper version, to work as any C Board.
Don't mess with that. IMO is better if you get a repro C Board or try to find another donor which has not been modded. My 2 cents.

Can anyone tell me why I am getting these weird colors on street fighter characters? I haven't noticed this on any other games (so far). I see the same effect on all version of SF2 that I've tried.
I see no issue when I put the original B+C (SF2 world warrior) back on the A board.

Can you show us your A Board please? That C Board you got from @Mitsurugi-w , right?

Yeah I'm pretty confident. I have tried reseating it multiple times. I press it in while holding the multi b board on the other side.

It looks like a c-board issue. It possible an issue with the c-board i sent you that slipped by testing. Want to send it back for me to check?
Hi. I post this very, very strange "issue" just in case anyone has experienced it. In fact, I am almost sure that the following is not a Multi CPS1 issue but only a problem with the rom itself or... I dont know...
- Street Fighter II: Accelerator Part 1 (Hack) (World/Euro):
When playing as Guile: medium and strong punch didn t work if you are standing. Its very strange because the sound goes on but the punch is not launched. However, it works if you are crouching, jumping, special attack, etc.
The Accelerator Part 2 doesn t have this issue.

Follow up, Darksoft sent a we dsp15a q-sound module replacement, but just before it got there, I received a PLCC extractor and reseated the Lucent Chip, and it did the trickI think it was very well in place haha, still managed to gently take it out and put bit back, still the same as before, static : (amplified like crazy so you can here something helpful(?)

(as a warning, do not attempt this without said extractor and without knowing what you are doing, it would be a shame to brake one of those chips
)totally unrelated, but I did end up using the "2024-01-05" set (also not sure how it interacts with the 3 other sets, since the maning is different, so I'm not using those for now), but some folders aren't in the right order due to the modified folder date in the archive...I can swear I have seen a post somewhere here recommending a software to do this kind of sorting but can't recall the name

1) Would it be possible to load any MAME hack? Ex: I have a Knights of the Round hack. Is possible to built the files "config", "enckey", "gfx.01"... Some place where I can find the procedure?
2) Only curiosity: I have Dual Crystal module assembled. Suppose I want to force a 10 MHz game to run at 12 MHz. Is possible by adding an empty "dash" file in the appropiate game folder?

1) not really, they are completely different hardware. I hacked back some bootlegs to make them work with the multi. What is special about this bootleg thay you want to play? Or do you mean hack of an original game to have special gameplay or infinite lives?

1) I couldn't say exactly. I'm referring to hacks of the original game that are easy to find for MAME and that change the game in various ways. But it seems like preparing them for be loaded on Multi is a somewhat complex process. Thanks.
