I finally got the Jaleco multi installed. I have questions:
- Does the Legend of Makai have no music?
- Did anyone experience the sound a bit rough? (it's better when it's set to Stereo)

Makai is a port from another board with a different sound chip. There is sound effects from astyanax, but no music.

About sound, if it's sound effects bad then check the oki's and oki roms.

Also a motherboard capacitor can be fitted backwards sometimes from factory it's documented in this thread somewhere.
Either way, these are getting to the age of needing a re-cap, especially the ones with TK brand.

It's the music that's a bit rough. I did recap all electrolytic caps. Is this still due to oki or oki roms?

The music is generated on the mainboard , oki's do the sound effects!
maybe soundcpu needs re-burning. or it's a mainboard problem.

Try the original romboard and compare with the multi to be sure.

I tested both the multi and my original rom board. Both sounded ok. Previously I tested with my supergun but this time I tested with my arcade cabinet. Arcade cabinet sounded better. It could be something wrong with my av cable. The conclusion, I think all games sounded ok except Astyanax. During the continue screen, the wizard's voice is very rough. I think I'm ok if it's only during the continue screen.
