DARKSOFT CHIHIRO TYPE 3: New Firmware !

Just updated one of the other systems without issue, It had Boot 2.19, QC Firm 1.08, SC 1.10 with Dimm running 4.00. Went super easy and definitely took longer to flash and completed. The first one that bricked did not go through all the steps before it restarted, it restarted quickly in the middle of something.

I was preparing to do the 3rd "spare" system and the media board DIMM0 slot is loose, so it will replacement (or maybe hack to slot 1?) before I can flash it.
 
When working with the Chihiro I have noticed that it requires a very solid/stiff power supply. Make sure all voltages are within spec when the update is performed. I.e. 5V 3V3 and 12V should all be within 5%.
 
Hi all ! I've just put a zerowkey, reflash my sytem, make a compact flash.
All is working great, but if i unplug the gd-rom data cable from the dimboard I have error 21 and the game dont start. If the data cable is connected to the gdrom, all work.
Any Idea ?
 
If you are booting from CF, the CF reader has to be connected throughout the session. There is a test which checks if the hardware is connected.

If i'm booting from the CF, the game load and i've got error 21 . If i'm booting from c f and the gdrom with data cable and unplugged from power, the game start. It's strange no ?
 
There is something which is unclear here. Can you take a picture of your setup please ?

How can you connect the CF and GD-ROM at the same time there is only one connector.

I 'll take a picture when i'll come back at home this night. But I connect the cf drive directly on the ide port of the netdimm and the gd-rom on the netdimm too via the external connector.

No, there's two. There's an internal IDE connector on the Chihiro.

I should have been more specific I meant one external connector.

If you require the internal and external connected it hints of impedance issues, let us see what @MaRCoOF is connecting to the internal connector later.

Please take a photo of your actual setup.

You cannot connect two male connectors together so you must be using a cable ?

Exactly ! With an ata cable. Im going to try with another cf adapter...
