Darksoft Neo Multi Help thread

If you are using a multi slot motherboard, then the cart can't be in the 1st slot.

Do you have a regular cart in slot 1? Try that and let us know.
Yes.
I have 3 other regular carts in and once it fails to copy/load it then kinda becomes invisible on the cycle until I power down and back on. Perhaps my roms are incorrect? I have a 7.zip pack i extract to the games/kof98 for example.

I got my multi today but there was a screw bouncing around the inside. Not very happy about that. It also looks like there is a missing post and screw too.

Should it be fine? I haven't booted it up yet.

Getting a strange flicker with my new cart on my MV1B board. (Couldn't get the cart to work in either slot on my MV2F)

No flicker with original game carts.

That's weird. Does it happen in all games? Which BIOS are you using?

Using a fat 32 formatted sdhc card, I created the new folder "update", then in the update folder I created "menu" folder. I then downloaded the latest menu update, extracted it, and copied it to the menu folder on the sd card. Now all I am getting is the cross hatch test screen. I am not tech savvy at all when it comes to this stuff, so I need very specific instructions if possible. Thanks

You need to wait for the update to finish. It will auto-reset once it's finished. To make sure that the update went well, insert the microSD card back into the PC and check that the \update folder is empty now.

I will try it again, i did check the sd card and it was still on there. I left it in the game for about 2 minutes, ill leave it in longer. Thanks

It needs 30-45 seconds only. Something else is going on with your microSD, show a picture of the directory maybe.

Still not working, here are some pics.

There are many things wrong there. For starters, I can't see a \games folder as it's requested and specified in the instructions. That's where your games go.

In that \games folder, you can copy that "menu_20230322" folder but you need to rename as "menu".

Don't touch the \update folder for now, the contents are not where they should, but you shouldn't do an update if you don't know if the cart is working.

Bottom line: create that \games folder and put all the games there. Each game in one folder. Copy also the menu files into \games.

Let us know how it goes.

I formatted the card and put the games file on the card, then renamed the new menu file to just menu and copied it over the existing menu file in the games file and I still just get the cross hatch screen after 5 minutes of waiting. I checked the menu file on the sd card, but it is still there. I am leaving town for a few days, i'll start trying again when I get home, or maybe i'll see if there is someone local who can help me. Like I said, I am a total moron when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

Just got my new multiMVS. I have a 4-slot MVS cabinet but I am unable to get the multiMVS cart to boot with additional carts installed. I can only get the multiMVS to boot when installed in slot 1 by itself. Even then, when the cabinet first boots up it does not recognize the game (goes to hardware test screen). I must then perform a soft reboot (unibios 4.0) before it recognizes the cartridge. Am I doing something wrong? Nothing mentions this in the instructions. Games loaded onto the multiMVS appear to operate properly one I get it going, just cannot boot directly and not at all with any other cartridge installed in the motherboard.
