Yes, removing the battery restores everything to working state again, but it is frustrating that this seems to be the only way to fix this, and that it does not work as the manual says. And yes, I did try with two different boards (both are MV1C though), so I do not think the MVS board is the issue. Both had their rechargeable batteries replaced with CR2032's. It seems to me that instead of "returning to menu", what START + UP does is "reset the cart" so if it's configured to go straight to the games, it does that always.will removing the battery reset to default settings?
Did u try pulling the battery and powering on without the cart?Yes, removing the battery restores everything to working state again, but it is frustrating that this seems to be the only way to fix this, and that it does not work as the manual says. I'd also like to remind about the strange issue with Garou always demo'ing the same fight, even with working CR2032 in place. Any idea about it?
Not without the cart. What would that do?Did u try pulling the battery and powering on without the cart?
Idk it's worth a shot tho. U can also reload the SD card. Not without the cart. What would that do?
He means try the cart without battery. I think the problem might be in your hack to replace the rechargable battery. Not without the cart. What would that do?

Did you try with stock BIOS?Good morning. I got my Darksoft MultiMvs. When I try playing on an Omega Mvs with NeoBios Masta and Neo Bios 4.0 the system just reboots and then get a green screen. I tried regular MVs carts and they play normal. Any help is appreciated.
I took off the Neogeo Masta and all I get is a square pink with purple screenDid you try with stock BIOS?
The cart was working very good for 2 weeks. I even did the update, and was working well. I have read that it might be the Masta coming loose at some point and that I have to use hot glue to maintain its contact.Installing the NeoGeo BIOSMasta requires disabling the original BIOS chip - that's what the blue patch wire running across the OG BIOS chip is doing.
In order to use the original SNK BIOS, you'll want to re-attach the BIOSMasta and swap out the UniBIOS EPROM chip that's plugged into the socket on top of the Masta. I can send you a suitable EPROM with the stock BIOS if you need one.
Regarding the green screen you get with the Darksoft MVS cart with the UniBIOS, is the file system set up correctly on the SD card? Post a screenshot of the directory structure please.
Hey started working again. Made sure the Masta was inserted firmly and added hot glue to the center and sides of it to make sure it would not move. The Darksoft cart loads perfectly again. Thank you once again. 🙏Ah, if the cart was working fine before then definitely check your BIOSMasta fit and make sure the cart contacts are clean. It’s rare but SD cards can fail too, so maybe try another SD card too if need be.
