Help with Shock troopers 2

After jumper JB3 no more resets but game still plays blind, gonna program P2 in a 27c322, the file have 4MB, It’s needed to change any jumpers in order to work?
 
Changed P2 with a 322 without change any jumper this is the result

Put the original P2 back.

See if you can run the CRC check in Unibios. It is the easiest way to check what program roms are faulty.

EDIT: actually, just dump the original P1 as a 27C800 and SP2 as a 27C322, upload them somewhere and put up a link here.

I've put the original P2 back, still the same, if I put an 27C800 for P1 should I change any jumper?
The problem checking crc with unibos is that I don't know what all banks means, I got one FFS with bank 0 or bank 1 with error but I don't know which eprom is for bank 0 or bank 1, right now I don't remember what bank gives error.
I thought about doing a crc check but probably it would give a error, different sizes between mask and eprom, but I could try flash P1 into a 27C800.
 
I've changed the p1 from a samurai shodown and done the same thing you did (double the p1)
and I pretty sure Unibios checked all the crc as good.
 
I just ran the CRC check for Shock Troopers 2 in Unibios 4.0 under Mame:

Rom Region corresponds to 246-p1.p1

If you split 246-p2.sp2 into four parts

Rom Bank 0 is the 1st quarter

Rom Bank 1 is the 2nd quarter
Rom Bank 2 is the 3rd quarter
Rom Bank 3 is the 4th quarter
 
Got the cart in my hands, now I remember that when I tried to open the menu to check all I got is a black screen so I cant check crc.
Im gonna flash p1 to a 27c800

Flashed P1 on 27c800 still the same problem from the pic above, game runs but all I can see it’s a blue screen and some colored squares.
 
Can you see any letters when you enter Unibios?
A wild shot but maybe a deffective S1 could be affecting the entire game screen.
 
I can’t seee nothing at all just a black screen, I can’t choose any option at all.
I suspect that P1 isn’t the only problem but I don’t have acknowledgement to point.
S1 should be 27c010 or 27c1000?
I could try change it but if I have to flash a 27c1000 my programmer don’t flash it.
 
So, something with graphics, did you have any donor.
Since S1 have only S-Fix in my opinion i would take a CHA512 from a working NEOCUP 98 and try to move all the C roms to the new card.
By doing this you can exclude the NEO-273 and all the other logic. "The NEO-273 chip is used in cartridges to demultiplex the P bus to C ROM and S ROM addresses (graphics)"
Or you need https://oshwlab.com/ptchnk/neo-doctor to check C roms.ù

S1 is a fast check and should be 27c1000, if you can program 27c1001 you can also do 1000 with and easy DYI adapter.

Game blind ? what about sound ? you can hear sound ? (aka game is starting? )
If a P rom doesn't work at all you should have the grid

The game starts, I can hear the game sound, I'm gonna test with another board to see if I can get the graphics back and narrow the problem.
 
Since the game start, and you do not have any image...
Have you tested another working game in the same setup ? just to exclude any mvs,monitor or any other video signal problem ?
This is not what i exprect from a currupted C game.
This seems something on monitor or on mvs board.
If you're sure that your setup works, and you've seen a game work.
Then move all the roms to another CHA512

Hi there, The is some kind of image, but its unplayable, tested another cartridges and work flawless, not a monitor or mvs problem.
I1ve posted a image of how the game runs, just block of solid colors and sound, I didn't have time to work on cart, probably only next week, I've another shock troopers to change board to test.
As soon as I test i give a feedback.

man, shock troppers is an expensive game that you can repair, just buy for 15€ neo cup 98 😜
also post a picture in hi-res of the game board, front and retro.
I'm curius to see the neo273 chip on cha board.

I recently had a problem with this component due to the flux dissolving years old gunk and getting stuck between the contacts of the neo-273 in my Double Dragon

I've at least 100 cartridges, but I don't think that I have a NGC'98 what I 've mostly is KOF, but probably I have one cha pcb that suits like KOF' 97.
But this week I can't change all mask roms to another board, I got two Sega cpus to work on, one from ID4 and another from Starship Troopers, and I have to finish today cuz tomorrow I need to put them back and thursday I have a trip and I come back only monday.
At least I can take the photos and post here later.
