cool, should work then I think, but my Saturn is not a stock Saturn HSS-0136 stick anymore, I installed a MC Chtulhu and mapped the buttons like a normal cab, so
P1 - P2 - P3 - P4
K1 - K2 - K3 - K4

Any idea if that would map the same on your adapter>
So would give me;

1-2-3-coin
4-5-6-unused
 
Not sure. Could you give me the DB15 pinout you'd like to have? Ideally formatted in the same way as in my previous post, so Saturn controller button -> DB15 pin #.

Finally received my PCBs from OSH Park :)

With this adapter you can connect HAS with the OSSC using a standard VGA cable.

You can also use a VGA->BNC cable to connect it directly to PVM/BVM monitors.

Order the PCBs from here. If there is enough interest I can start stocking those, too.

Edit: The adapter comprises of a female VGA connector (HD15) and a 1x8pin 18mm goldpin header. The header pins need to be moved a bit so that you end up with 10mm long pins that connect to HAS, and shorter ones that will go to the adapter. You will also need two 15mm long screwed spacer sleeves and bolts to install the adapter.

I have the last HAS version and an OSSC
If there isn't enough demand I'll source it by my own :(
 
I would get one as well :)

It's outputting always automatically TTL sync or depends on the HAS setting?

The 8 pin DIN does not work with the OSSC due the input stage on the OSSC when using SCART.

edit: This only applies to the TAITO F3

But uhm, I have an OSSC (the newest one, with the newest firmware, stock settings), and a HAS v3.1 and I've used the 8 pin mini din cable to scart, works fine?
 
@Sp33dFr34k - The OSSC struggles to sync with the Taito F3 if it's connected through Scart, but it was discovered that it works flawlessly if you just connect it through the VGA port on the OSSC. More details here.
 
Im sure this has been asked many times in here, so sorry for asking, but I am new to the whole supergun business (and this board, hello everybody), so i am hoping for answers anyways.

First, i wonder if these superguns work fine with the gscart produced by superg, over at the shmup board. I know some superguns, in particular the Windy Gaming-one, has issues with the voltage levels it outputted, which bricked some of these gscarts. I own one of those, so would want a supergun that wont brick it.

Second, how do i source a suitable power supply for these things? It says in the opening post that "arcade psu" is suitable, but those things dont show up here often. Any tips on this? live in continental Europe btw, if that matters.

The HAS is compatible with gscartsw. The issue discussed over at the shmupsforum was caused by improper setting of the audio, basically the JAMMA amplified audio was output directly to gscartsw.

The HAS attenuates the audio. However, just like the Windy Gaming supergun, it also gives you possibility to use JAMMA amplified audio. The difference is that in practice it's impossible to switch to amplified audio by mistake, you'd really need to try hard, because the HAS uses two jumpers to set the audio level, instead of a simple switch.

As for the PSU I always recommend getting a Mean Well MWP-606 or SUZO 42PP0606 (the latter you can buy directly from SUZO Europe).
 
I'm interested in purchasing an adapter direct, not sure where that puts the count or what you need to stock it...
But yea totally in (aka my Taito F3 needs this to work with my OSSC)!
 
Yes, that's the one.

The HAS set comes with a PSU cable that joins the PSU and HAS. You only need to connect the PSU to the wall. Computer power cable (ideally with a switch, like this) with one end stripped will do.

It's good to crimp fork terminals on the PSU wires, too.

The Mean Well MWP-606 and SUZO 42PP0606 PSUs are identical and seem to be the most popular among the HAS users.. Is there anybody willing to design a cover for the screw terminal for this PSU that could be 3D printed? :)
