hi guys
I recently aquired a Namco system 11 Tekken 2, not working complete black out. after some research i could not find any schematics of this system
so i decided to jump to it now i am almost done with the top board (mine is PG-13) and since am no expert with my little knowledge i followed the traces
some parts does not make sense to me, and i need some help to decipher them.

i will join a screen print of the actual progress
and i can post the file if someone wants to join

thank you

System11 shares architecture with Sony PS1. It's not 1:1 but most of the main chips are the same, so if you get stuck you can pretty easily find schematics for that console. I'm not an expert but I do recall solving one audio issue by getting a DAC's pin diagram from something like this: https://www.psxdev.net/downloads/SCPH-100_5th-Edition.pdf . Maybe that (or other ps1 schematics online) will help you if you're stuck somewhere.

yes you are right, for the top board (CPU board) i used a SCPH-9000 service manual to help me with different pinout
but for the bottom board which is a typical namco board many of the custom chips are unknown, so for me its a matter of guess work
plus am no engineer, i wonder if there is someone who can shed some light on different parts, especially on the second board
for example why (addres lines SA08 and SA0), CSYNC and VBLANK (cpu board) are all passed through AND gates (IC1) before being served to second pcb and things like that.

Great work! Please post your progress and let us know how those schematics look like. We'd love to have a look.

Sweet, I’m trying to find the blue that’s missing on my tekken right now , Thanks for the schematics !

Triple RGB DAC and surrounding components are a good place to start... this system, I tell you. Good luck!

Edit: it's late and I'm probably thinking of system 12, but still, godspeed.

In the first pic, what is the big 44 pin ic?
Triple 8 bit video DAC

You have no idea but you accidentally saved the day... I thought this data sheet was a goner!!

MC44200FT triple 8 bit video DAC.

https://community.nxp.com/t5/Other-NXP-Products/Datasheets-for-Obsolete-Legacy-products/m-p/1015953

"We do not have the MC44200FT datasheet.
Once a product becomes obsolete we delete the documentation. "
MC44200FU is just a different plastic package, which means, we should have the datasheet for the video dac for both system 11 and 12 here!!

Sorry to necropost but I need help repairing my NS11 board. I am having a issue where the green channel is not showing anything, I already tested most traces of the green channel of the main mother PCB. So it might be the CPU/GPU/VIDEO board. Thus I want to know if you finished those schematics so I can guide myself to repair it.

Thank you for this.

I'm also currently working on a Namco System 11 (Tekken Ver.B), but with a GP-11 CPU board (instead of a PG-13 as for schematics above).

For the Noobs (like me), remember that the System 11 has 3 boards, the "Mother PCB", the CPU board and the ROMS board.

The components I'm troubleshooting are quite different, but these schematics, in combination with the recently posted Mother PCB schematics and PlayStation Specifications pinouts helped me a lot.

Will you me making a PDF at some point?

Hi RenierD, sure i have a pdf for the GP-13 board but i cant upload it in here (says file is too large 1mb!), i made a google drive link to it: GP-13 cpu schematics
i hope its useful to you,
BTW whats wrong with your board, am still trying to fix the one i have and am almost there. you can share with me your progress i would be glad to help you out.
good luck
