What's new
You can still use regular jamma capture devices as normal on that side of the setup I would assume

yes I have betsubetsu and ossc which was originally intended for pcb's. but putting a capture card in the middle (if it was possible) would've eliminated the extra equipment needed if I wanted to do something quick with mister.

New limited batch in the works! Who knows which FPGA gaming solutions will actually ship, or when, or how they will turn out - with MiSTer you know what you're getting. I too was tricked into thinking something was pretty imminent about a year ago, so I didn't make more expanders - but as I've gotten a few requests from operators to make more board, I'll give it a go.

I should be getting the boards just before I leave for a 6 week trip mid June. If you miss the first 'window' sales will reopen in August, pending availability.

I may do a hidden purchase link for those on the notify list, and even if I don't, the order window will be very tight - so if you're thinking about getting one I recommend signing up for a notification at https://irkenlabs.com/product/jamma-expander/

These are of course the rev 2 with USB hub and fancy cables (that also does a seppuku if connect the JAMMA connector upside down - so please use a JAMMA key...)
Just got word that production is delayed, so won't be able to ship out before summer :( Units will be available early August, preference will likely be given to those that have signed up for notification here, https://irkenlabs.com/product/jamma-expander/

Is the Jamma Expander compatible with the new DE-10 clones coming to market?

I would say highly likely, as the expander only uses standard connecors/interfaces and not GPIO pins. You may have to get a USB cable to connect it, as I don't htink any of the clones use a usb micro OTG port, but a standard USB A instead / pin headers.

@elrod - Tried the qmtech and had no issues!

qmtech jamma.JPEG

I tried it but no joy yet, not getting any video out , could be a crappy SD card but I also didn't realise at first that on taki's board the USB c connector on one side is for debugging only, only saw this after watching takis setup vid so need another cable or adaptor to connect the otg cable connections similar to the qmtech on need a type a to type a . I'm out of action for a few weeks so may not get back to setup soon, can't see why it wouldn't work though

Managed to get to properly hook this up briefly today with taki s board and looks to work as expected, you will need an different "type A female to type A, male otg usb cable" and an adapter to convert the power connector to USBC for it to work
