Makivision M2929D4-TS Question

I’m very new to this, but I grabbed this monitor from an older gentleman and he mentioned possibly needing an isolation board. I wanted to plug it into the wall and see if my Dreamcast will run on it. Any info would help!

Pretty sure this tube combo does not need a ISO, but take a picture or two of the chassis around the big filter cap. Then I can confirm if you need it or not.

You’re good! No need for a ISO on this chassis since it got a SMPS (switching power supply) transformer.

Sorry. Don’t know the pinout for this chassis, but snap a pic of where you connect the AC cable and we can probably figure it out.

Thanks for confirming. With regard to the power cord, I was under the impression tgis is where the AC connection goes

That’s correct. Unsure if that power cable is a 100% fit, but should work with some modifications. I would give it a go. Polarity looks correct based on the PCB silkscreen.

You can't fit a Mate-N-Lok connector on a JST VH header.

If you want to do it right, cut the end of a power cord, crimp JST VH pins on the wires and then place the pins inside the correct 5-pin JST VH connector housing.
