Any good quality bipolar cap should be fine - I would probably use Cornell Dublier just because I have them on hand for Midway sound boards but Nichicon is an excellent brand and should be a perfect replacement
), but not without breaking legs off some components at first - thankfully, there were not many casualties so I was able to reuse almost all of it for the second attempt.
).
) The only thing that makes sense to me is that the joints just didn't get enough heat quickly enough before flux from the wire burned off, and I do recall reading that on real circuits there is more heat sinks like ground planes that can make it a problem so maybe my soldering station is just not powerful enough? I have a 40W one, do you all guys have more powerful ones, or any other tips on what could I have been doing wrong? I tried to make a decent contact with both the pad and the leg, and melt solder on the connection between the two and all that stuff, so I think my basic technique should be correct.Amazing work - so satisfying to look at something like after its made and know exactly how it was made. Congratulations!- is it documented anywhere what each of the 4 mini dip switches do exactly? From playing around with them myself and reading the thread I think the first two are for button 4 and 5 from JAMMA edge, and I'm guessing the other ones might be related to the kick harness (which I can't test), but I think it would be nice if this was clearly documented somewhere (unless I missed it?)
Oh wow I thought I was just terrible with a joypad when not able to do this when running the minigun on the test bench. For example it is not possible to do Akuma "raging demon" in SF2T with the DIPs set to both. The punches must come only from the JAMMA edge and not the kick hardnes, and the Kicks must only come from the kick harness, not the JAMMA edge
The problem is the mounting holes distance, this distance is 1 inch for the original part. The one in your first link is 1.1 inch and the second one shows no dimensions on the data sheet.
I can confirm these fit. Iv made tons of miniguns for other forum members and these are the same dimensions as the old ones that are obsolete. I know this is a US link but you can probably find in UK amazon:The problem is the mounting holes distance, this distance is 1 inch for the original part. There are two different A/V connectors standard that the minigun uses. Your board will have either an eight or nine pin mini DIN A/V connector. You can buy a premade cable for either one.I was just given one of these boards it's rev 2.5. Do I need to build the video cable or is there one I can buy? I've tried to look through as many of these pages I could. Thank you for your time.
The one I have is a 9 pin, I was told to get a genisis 2 AV cable and all I get is a VERY dark picture " no color".There are two different A/V connectors standard that the minigun uses. What video monitor/scalar are you using? The one I have is a 9 pin, I was told to get a genisis 2 AV cable and all I get is a VERY dark picture " no color".
I don't have anything and the guy that gave it to me keeps telling me to buy a genisis 2 cable and it will work (which it dosen't). I've never had a supergun and normally just use an empty jamma cabinet. As far as a monitor I have an ASUS and Hp also an old flat screen tv with avi/hdmi and a CRT TV.What video monitor/scalar are you using?
