Hello , do you have the pinout for the kickharness connector ? whay is the purpose of the switch near the kick harness connector ... it will be nice do have a documentation ... can you provide it ?
 
You could try entering input test mode on a 6 button game (CPS2 is probably best for this), figure out which pin is GND, then just short the others to GND and then just see what flips from 0 to 1 in the menu.

Not to be that guy, but I feel like a lot of these fly-by-night MiSTer JAMMA interfaces on Aliexpress, etc. are poorly supported/documented, and quickly abandoned. It may be worth moving on from it and picking up a JAMMA Expander from invzim/IrkenLabs, or a MiSTercade from MiSTerAddons.
 
Anyone in this thread help me. I'm using the ali Express jamma. I'm getting a video but none of my buttons work and any device unplug into usb powers on but doesn't work like a keyboard

Probably going to need a little more information about your setup to diagnose. My first guess is the controls aren't configured correctly in the MiSTer setup (does that thing expect joystick controls, or is it doing keyboard emulation?).

Honestly, I'd just buy a JAMMA Expander or MiSTercade.

Before I spend money on the other options I want to try to get this to work I can't send this back went over 30 days over.

I think it expects joystick but I don't know how to check it. I'm new to mister. I have a old showcase jamma cab.

How would I configure the controls .
 
It sounds like it is using Xinput for the controllers, so it should "just work". You do sometimes need to manually configure controls per-core, but all bets are off since I have no experience with that device and I don't think it works the same as the Expander (uses MAME keyboard by default) or the MiSTercade (comes with a bunch of pre-defined controller maps). This could also be due to the board being wired for CHAMMA but I honestly have no idea. You could also try the config file that was posted here, the board looks similar enough that I would not be at all surprised if they're just clones of each other.

Did you update everything on your MiSTer install? You could try to review the MiSTer documentation, and I'd try to directly contact the seller to see if they can help. Worst case just charge them back :P You might've saved a little short term with the cheaper Aliexpress special, but you'll likely pay for it in the long run with time wasted and no support runway.

I never updated the mister, the seller sent me a micro sd card already configured. I'll try to replace it with the link you sent me.

I looked up that jamma extandar it looks like it's all sold out.
 
One more thing. if you have Capcom IO board then you could use that to amplify the video and use a GP2040-CE board for controls.
 
I got my keyboard to work, I found something on jamma in the ini menu

I made a case for this board if anyone wants the files. You may have to do some custom work in the slicer though. I modeled it all as one piece and cut it up in prusa slicer to add connectors and such.
