MiSTerAddons MiSTercade - MiSTer for JAMMA cabinets

Thanks for your answer. Meaning that my Mistercade set up is probably bad. Did it work perfectly at the first launch ? Or did you do some particular settings ? I followed the video of shootThecore to set up my micro sd card

I didn't have to do anything special with it. It just worked in my setup. I would assume something in the ini file is the culprit but I'm not sure.

Hi all, I'm trying to install my MisterArcade v2 in my Evo Supergun. I'm running into problems getting the controllers to recognise. It uses the Undamned USB Decoder Plus by UD Game Tech to translate the USB signal.

How are you powering the HAS ?

How are you powering the HAS ? Pictures please ?

Thanks, so your HAS has GND connected to your 110V PSU cable but your SIGMA does not. However your HAS does not properly as well.

Have you done any voltage measurements ? I.e. what is the voltage on 1P B1 on the JAMMA connector when the switch is open and when it is closed ?

What switch ?

1P P1 = 1 Player Button 1 , measure the voltage on pin 22.

Could you please post a picture of what you have in your Mistercade microsd card ? Thanks

Hi All,

I recently purchased a mister V1 second hand and i am really enjoying it. Currently it is set in the vertical orientation for a 15 khz monitor. I wanted to try putting it in my blast city with the vga cord and in the horizontal position. I followed the guide posted here and downloaded the mistercade v1 file on git hub. When i unziped the file everything was there except the ini files for orientation and resolution. I might be late to the party and maybe the mister does these things automatically now, but before trying i figured I would ask here first. Thanks guys

The INI files got moved to a different GitHub repository. Get them here:

Thanks @ShootTheCore. Downloaded the files. I guess the only rotation now is the menu which is done in the ini settings once your running the Mister. The games are already rotated as they should be.

When playing Neo Geo games I press start on my Astro City it goes into the unibios menu is there anyway to switch that off?

That's weird, i'm using a MiSTercade on my astro too and it doesn't do that. It sounds like a button mapping issue. Are you using the mappings from the mistercade github?

If you haven't already check here https://github.com/misteraddons/MiSTercadeV1
I highly recommend modifying the downloader.ini settings for the update_all script instructions on that page

  • Modify or create the "downloader.ini" file on your MiSTer SD card, by including this section of code. This will ensure the correct mappings for all arcade games are downloaded and updated automatically!
[misteraddons/mistercade_mappings]
db_url = https://raw.githubusercontent.com/misteraddons/mistercade_mappings/db/db.json.zip

If all that fails, then remap the buttons in MiSTer main via the menu and then do it again in the NeoGeo core
(note only map player 1, player 2 will be mapped automatically)

Had a random question. The black heat sink used on the mister v1 looks like it’s an exact match to the one used on my battle bakraid pcb. As I am missing one any chance someone knows the part #

Hello! There seems to be something wrong in my Mistercade v1.1 because all my RAIZING Japanese cores get stuck on the ROM/RAM check screen and they don’t even boot. Is there any solution for this? Here’s the error I get on the initial ROM check screen
