DARKSOFT Multi JVS v1.0

Wanted to create a post about playing Powerstone 2 on a New Astro City with three other players. I read a post earlier in this thread about how this is only feasible with the Capcom I/O and so I wanted to post about my setup.

I am feeding JVS inputs for players 1 and 2 to the NAOMI through the wonderful TD-IO and daisy-chaining the inputs for players 3 and 4 through the MultiJVS. Having the DB15 ports on the MultiJVS means players 3 and 4 can use a stick on their lap while seated around players 1 and 2 on the control panel. This was all plug-and-play and a great way to enjoy Powerstone 2.

Hey guys. It's been much longer than expected but I plan to finally make more of these. I need at least 10 pre-sales and these are expected to ship in mid-march. Price is $150 shipped in the USA. For this batch. Actual shipping for overseas.

Contact me ASAP to order!
im sory for bein a newb but what exactly does this do, im going to reference the first post.

I'm keeping track of the pre-sale list in the below thread:

My Multi JVS works great in my Sega Net City with any real arcade hardware that I've run on it (Naomi 2, Namco 256, Chihiro, Ringedge 2).
Firmware v1.2.7,
Default I/O (3.0),
Default Profile.

However, I am having an odd problem when I try to hook a PC with a JVS-PAC 2 to the Multi JVS as only the Player 1 controls work in linux or windows.
Working: P1 Joystick, P1 six buttons, P1 start
No Inputs: P2 Joystick, P2 six buttons, P2 start, Coin

The JVS-PAC 2 also recognizes the Multi JVS as "Unknown I/O OK" on its screen and needs to have the JVS cable plugged and replugged to recognize sometimes.

>According to the log file, the jvs-pac is not able to properly initialize/communicate with the IO board, only intermittent, so I'm not surprised you're having issues. >When working the JVS-PAC should say "Sega Lindbergh OK".

I troubleshoot and found that the JVS-PAC 2 works correctly with a Sega Type 1 I/O.

Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

I'm not sure. TBH I don't even know what a JVS -pac is. Is invzim the creator? If he wants to research I could send him a test unit maybe.

Maybe something WinterIsComing could address but he hasn't been here in a long time and didn't answer an email I sent to him a few months ago.

Maybe someone else has an idea. I've only used these with real arcade hardware.
